You'll lead a team responsible for portfolio valuation, strategic insights, and external reporting, while partnering across market, policy, and planning functions to influence critical business decisions. Responsibilities - Oversees the entire portfolio of energy procurement activities including development of contract evaluation framework, NPV analysis of offers, the application of portfolio selection tools, and the review of advice letters and testimony in support of cost recovery for energy procurement activities. - Oversees the design and execution of resource adequacy program, coordinating with various commercial and operational teams to ensure compliance requirements are met, but also set strategic direction to optimize the portfolio. - Directs the strategic application of analytical models and grid planning simulation tools, driving the development of optimal resource portfolios, and guiding decisions based on their projected impacts on system pricing, GHG emissions, and other market dimensions. - Influences various state agencies to address California's energy and reliability needs, ensuring SCE is in a position to align with regulatory demands. - Drives the organization's research strategy for new technologies, spearheads the adoption of cost-effective and impactful solutions, and shapes the direction of supply and demand-side energy resources - Shapes contract origination's solicitation efforts to meet RA, Energy, IRP, etc. procurement needs/goals. Ensures the delivery of results from actionable steps based on feedback on contract pro forma updates, valuation methodologies and procurement strategy. - Shapes coordinated efforts across various groups such as contract management, settlements, risk management, etc. with contract negotiation, administration and dispute resolution. - Approves and tests end-to-end financial modeling modules that scrapes and transforms generating unit (such as energy storage and energy storage) solicitation offer data, performing NPV analysis, and processes and stores results. - Provides strategic oversight on the delivery of ERRA, PCIA and RPS-related filings and formulates the joint IOUs' proposal and orchestrates interaction with key stakeholders to advocate for SCE's positions. - A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity. Minimum Qualifications - Seven or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management. - Experience in overseeing a portfolio of energy procurement activities, external regulatory reporting obligations and/or valuation frameworks. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with transitioning manual, Excel-based models to automated system solutions. - Familiarity with CPUC regulatory processes. Additional Information - This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
