Job Description

Conflicts Analyst

Crowell & Moring

• Conducts corporate research using internet and other research tools • Enters and updates data in the firm’s conflicts database • Analyzes information provided with new matter requests for compliance with firm policies • Reviews conflict of interest reports for new firm matters • Assists with resolution strategies and outreach to impacted attorneys • Reviews engagement letters for new clients • Reviews new matter scope communications • Assists Conflicts Director, Manager and Assistant Manager with the training of new Conflicts Information Specialists • Assists with issues associated with special projects such as bankruptcies • Participates in testing and development activities associated with the Conflicts Department

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of conflicts law firm experience or experience in a practice support or legal assistant capacity
  • Basic knowledge of conflicts of interest issues
  • High level of knowledge and ability related to technical systems associated with law firm new business intake
  • Knowledge of InTapp preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, with attorneys and staff
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work in a dynamic and complex environment
  • High level of knowledge of internet research
  • Demonstrated ability to master new technology applications
  • Advanced skill in operating standard office equipment, including desktop computers, printers, copiers, and telephones
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Word and Excel.
