Position Title: Senior Donor Advisor (Western U.S.) Position Type: Regular Full-Time Department: Global Relationships & Resources Location: Remote (Arizona, Oregon, or Washington) Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 - $136,000 Location: United States Job Description: Corus International provides a competitive, growth-oriented, yet fiscally responsible compensation program. Position Summary: Corus International is seeking a Senior Donor Advisor for the Western United States. The position must be based in one of following states: Arizona, Oregon, or Washington, and will require extensive travel across Alaska, Arizona, California, Montana, Oregon and Washington. The Senior Donor Advisor, functions as a Major Gift Officer and reports to the Senior Director, Major Gifts Development and functions as a key member of the philanthropy and fundraising team within the Global Relationships and Resources Department. The Senior Donor Advisor will develop and manage a portfolio of major-level-giving donors by initiating, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding relationships with individuals and families who partner financially with Lutheran World Relief and other Corus International brands. The Senior Donor Advisor helps donors understand how their gifts benefit families around the world. This role requires extensive travel and serves the western United States, primarily Alaska, Arizona, California, Montana, Oregon and Washington. Responsibilities: - Develop and manage a portfolio of 125-150 qualified donors with annual major gift prospects of $10K and higher. - Plan and execute regular visits (in person and virtual) with donors, including regular travel within designated territory to visit donors. - Utilize available tools and resources to identify donors who would be appropriate for the portfolio and follow the process to qualify them for the portfolio. - Plan and execute a regular cadence of communications (voice-to-voice and written) with donors. - Develop and execute thoughtful, innovative, and individualized strategies for qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors, involving colleagues and organizational leaders as appropriate. - Regularly utilize Raiser's Edge to record all interactions with donors and manage solicitation plans and revenue projections in a timely manner. - Work closely with the Senior Director, and other leaders, to create, track, and measure revenue objectives and key results for the donor portfolio. - Collaborate with members of the fundraising team and regional volunteers to execute donor events and regional strategies. - Travel and attend organizational meetings. International travel will occur periodically, and some trips will include leading donors to current program sites. - Undertake special projects and assignments to advance the mission of Corus International. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years' professional work experience; or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience. - Experience must include successful solicitation and closing of major gifts greater than $10k. - Experience with "Moves Management" or related strategic relationship development. - Experience using Raiser's Edge (or similar donor database) and proficiency using Microsoft Office products. - Must have a current and valid drivers' license. - Ability to travel and visit donors and attend Corus' meetings up to 60% of the time. - Ability to comfortably engage with faith-based donors. - Ability to lead face-to-face meetings and the confidence to solicit funding using effective and appropriate language. - Strong presentation skills with the ability to present opportunities and reports to an audience in person or virtually. - Skilled in the art of closing the gift with donors. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven experience in utilizing compelling donor materials and pitches that inspire action and support. - Collaborative, team-oriented work style, with self-motivation and drive to get the job done with little supervision. Preferred Qualifications: - Executive (CFRE) certification is desirable.
