Job Description

Program Manager, Business Operations

MGT Insurance

About MGT Insurance MGT is the first AI-driven, neo-insurer focused on evolving commercial P&C insurance for the brokers and small business owners. By combining the expertise of industry veterans with state-of-the-art technology, we are ushering in the next evolution of commercial insurance and working to move the industry forward through the use of modern technology, better processes, and a rock-star team. We seek visionary leaders who thrive in dynamic, entrepreneurial settings, and excel in autonomous roles. About the Role We’re hiring a Program Manager to help us scale how the business runs. This is a startup-style, high-ownership role that blends cross-functional program management, business operations, and basic business intelligence and reporting. The core function of this role is to act as a builder, operator, and organizer , taking ownership of critical initiatives across our Product, Operations, Billing, Service, and Technology teams. You will manage projects from concept to launch (0 → 1) and drive their subsequent iteration and growth (1 → n) . A key focus will be collaborating closely with the Operations and Service teams to enhance execution quality, elevate the customer experience, and boost internal efficiency. This position is ideal for an individual who thrives in ambiguity and has a proven track record of taking ideas and making them a reality. Responsibilities Own cross-functional programs end-to-end: define goals, scope, milestones, owners, and timelines—then drive delivery through launch and beyond. Act as the “glue” between Ops, Service, Product, Billing, and Tech, ensuring the work is aligned, unblocked, and moving. Turn messy problems into structured plans: write project briefs, simplify decisions, coordinate stakeholders, and push work forward. Partner closely with Operations and Service teams to identify bottlenecks, improve workflows, and build scalable processes. Support launches by coordinating readiness across teams (process changes, training, internal comms, reporting, issue tracking). Build simple BI reporting and dashboards to track KPIs, measure program impact, and surface trends (often using spreadsheets + basic analytics tools). Drive continuous improvement: document processes, refine handoffs, reduce repeat issues, and implement tools/systems that scale. Communicate clearly and consistently: communication is tight, proactive, and structured. Qualifications Compensation: $125,000-$175,000 annual base salary + bonus + equity (commensurate with experience and dependent on location) Traits We Value in This Role Builder energy : enjoys creating systems where none exist Operator mindset: focused on outcomes, not just deliverables Process-oriented: build lightweight processes that bring structure and speed Cross-functional leadership: aligns teams without formal authority Metrics-driven: knows what “good” looks like and measures impact We recognize that no candidate will meet every qualification and encourage individuals with relevant experience and interest in the role to apply. Please note: MGT does not accept unsolicited resumes from staffing vendors, including recruitment agencies and/or search firms. Please do not forward resumes to our jobs alias, MGT employees, or any other company location. Any submittals without a prior signed agreement will become property of MGT. Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion At MGT, inclusion drives excellence and belonging sustains it. We believe diverse perspectives make us stronger, more innovative, and more connected to the people we serve. We value every voice, champion equity, and create space where all people can grow and succeed together. Equal Employment Opportunity Statement MGT is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
