Field Applications Engineer – Power Semiconductors
Littelfuse
• Work closely with customers at the product concept and design level • Ensure that the customer has the necessary information to facilitate design-in of power semiconductor products • Develop close relationships with customers and sales reps to enhance company image and competitiveness • Uncover new application opportunities • Coordinate product qualifications for customers in a timely and efficient manner • Conduct on-site product application seminars and training for key customers, sales reps, and distributors • Maintain and update the New Product Opportunity (NBO)/Top Opportunities reports monthly • Coordinate regional trips with the RSM • Coordinate with Quality Assurance teams regarding product quality issues • Provide technical feedback for new product development • Provide internal Littelfuse training as required • Schedule monthly conference calls with the Product Marketing Team and Regional management
Job Requirements
- A Bachelor's or MS Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Five to Ten years+ of experience in Power Electronics Applications Engineering and customer interface
- Knowledge of electronics test lab equipment and reliability/quality metrics related to semiconductors
- Strong background in Power Electronic semiconductor devices and circuit topologies
- Technical understanding of Circuit Protection a plus
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills due to high customer interaction
- Proficiency in MS Office and Windows
- Ability to travel approximately 50% (some international)
