Connect with a career that matters, and help us build a safer future. Department Overview The Presales Quoting Team is a segment of Motorola Solutions’ 9-1-1 Emergency Call Handling business. Our team focuses on pricing, system configuration, interoperability, and sales support for Vesta call-handling, MIS, mapping, and related emerging technologies, addressing both business and technical requirements. Ensure configuration and system requirement accuracy on customer orders Research and resolve issues arising from complex or custom system configurations and orders Develop a consistent approach to RFPs, proposals, and quoting which includes creating desired, consistent, and accurate documentation Manage cross-functional teams including Sales, Engineering, and Product Teams, focused on delivering timely, accurate quotes and proposals Responsible for creating detailed project schedules and ensuring the proposed customer solution aligns with the sales team’s strategy Interface with PM Resource Managers, Sales Managers, Engineering Managers, Presale Project Planners, and Senior Division Staff to effectively coordinate presale activity May assist in the development of business plans, strategies, and approaches to take advantage of business opportunities Interface with public safety customers, subcontractors, and other Motorola Solutions, Inc. employees via meetings and/or conference calls Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree OR 4+ years of experience in project/program management, presales business management, business development, deployment/support, and/or emergency call-handling Excellent presentation skills preferred Strong verbal and written skills; fluency in English Skilled with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Suite, drawing and diagramming tools (such as MS Visio or similar) Target Base Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 USD Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity.   • The Presales Configuration Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
  • Configure and produce quotations based on system requirements from presales documents, sales engineering, and customers for products and systems
  • Provide configuration options and system specifications
  • Maintain current knowledge of Motorola Solutions products including computers, peripheral equipment, new product releases, and software/hardware interoperability requirements; Collaborate with System Engineering, Product teams, and Sales Engineering to understand customers' technical and functional needs while balancing the requirements of both the customers and our sales team
  • May maintain product configuration tools
