Job Description

Territory Account Manager

BD - Becton, Dickinson and Company

• Achieve or exceed sales goals established in the Annual or multi-annual Plan for the territory. • Plan and organize customer interfaces (calls, prospecting calls, day-to-day calls) on assigned accounts to present, promote, and sell products. • Utilize a lean approach to generate incremental profit or maintain current sales. • Develop approved business cases for customized offers. • Plan and organize travel for account visits to maximize account coverage. • Establish working relationships with all customer contacts. • Maintain records and reporting systems for the general operation of the business. • Prepare and maintain customer profiles on each customer in the area of responsibility. • Facilitate customer meetings to drive territory strategy. • Prepare and submit sales call reports and monthly reports.

Job Requirements

  • Degree level qualification; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in sales or related field.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical or medical device markets.
  • Strong sales skills and ability to develop relationships.
  • Ability to plan and organize account visits.
  • Technical support skills or ability to bring effective solutions to customers.
  • Ability to prepare and submit various reports.
