Title: Senior Commercial Lines Underwriter Location: New York, NY - CM First Job Description: This is a hybrid opportunity and this role requires onsite in-office presence 3 days per week at our office in New York City. Applicants must be located within a commutable distance to New York City. We’re seeking a Senior Underwriter with a strong background in commercial lines insurance to market new and renewal accounts and effectively communicate with carriers. Your Impact: - Evaluates information to determine risk acceptability in accordance with company guidelines. - Makes appropriate decisions based on the evaluation of underwriting information. - Effectively communicates and negotiates underwriting and pricing decisions to achieve optimal outcomes. - Documents decisions in accordance with regulatory standards. - Acts with a sense of urgency on all inquiries/requests. - Provides outstanding customer service. - Underwrites a moderate book of business with a moderate to complex risk profile. - Performs other duties as assigned. Successful Candidates Will Have: - Associate Degree or higher, plus 5 years of relevant commercial Property & Casualty underwriting experience. Additional 2 years of commercial P&C underwriting experience will be considered in lieu of degree. - Excess and Surplus Lines experience is highly preferred. - Bilingual (English/Mandarin) is strongly preferred. - Must have the ability to react and respond quickly and professionally. - Must provide creative, analytical, and innovative thinking to inure to productive problem-solving. - Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Senior Stop-Loss Underwriter Location: Newtown Square, PA Hybrid 3-4 Days in Office Full time Job Description: The Underwriter of Employer Stop Loss is responsible for evaluating and analyzing risk. This role involves reviewing submissions, assessing medical and financial risk factors, and determining appropriate pricing and terms in alignment with company underwriting guidelines. The Underwriter works closely with sales, brokers, consultants, and underwriting team to ensure profitability and growth within the stop loss product line. This is a hybrid position based out of our office in Newtown Square, PA. Your Impact: - Review and analyze employer stop loss data, including claims experience, demographics, and plan design. - Assess medical conditions and financial risks to determine appropriate coverage terms and pricing. - Apply underwriting guidelines and company policies to maintain a balance between risk acceptance and profitability. - Work collaboratively with sales teams, brokers, and consultants to gather necessary information and provide competitive quotes. - Ensure underwriting decisions comply with regulatory requirements and company standards. - Maintain accurate documentation of underwriting decisions and rationales within internal systems. - Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance underwriting knowledge and expertise. - Assist in monitoring industry trends, competitor strategies, and regulatory changes that may impact underwriting practices. - Support underwriters in handling complex cases and contribute to team projects as needed. • Responsible for knowing insurance plan details such as eligibility to complete applications, enrollments or claims accurately • Responsible for meeting contractual department goals by completing daily work given within guidelines set by the insurance carrier or the association and working directly with the sales team or insurance carrier when need be if questions arise • Assist in printing daily batches of issue packets for new business • Assist in getting out-going mail to mailroom daily • Process daily carrier decision files for new business • Assign incoming mail to correct subgroup within the department.

• Independently process travel claims in accordance with associated policies • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business materials, technical procedures, benefit plans and regulations • Handle incoming calls from and make outgoing calls to claimants and suppliers in a professional, positive and proactive manner • Consistently meet established performance standards, including quantity and quality claims processing standards • Maintain current knowledge of Plans and effectively apply this knowledge to the payment of claims, customer service, and all other job functions • Ability to function independently within established guidelines • Maintain HIPAA compliance

HNO), physical damage, umbrella/excess, property, crime, motor truck cargo, contingent auto, and cargo • Provide customer service by responding promptly and courteously to all requests for information • Ensure timely and accurate preparation and issuance of policies, as identified and delegated by the manager. This will sometimes require delegation of tasks to an underwriting assistant • Effectively communicate company standards, mission, underwriting guidelines, and requirements to brokers • Provide accurate documentation in the file and/or in electronic notes of underwriting thought process • Order/review inspection reports to assess risk quality and to confirm exposure base accuracy, as assigned by manager • Actively manage relationships with assigned brokers and agents
• Serve as a primary point of contact for the Rental Team, professionally handling inbound calls, emails, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues efficiently to ensure client satisfaction • Provide prompt and accurate responses via phone and email to insured individuals and agents, clarifying policy details, addressing concerns, and offering guidance on coverage and procedures • Maintain organized and up-to-date records, including electronic and physical files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and industry regulations • Manage endorsement requests efficiently by analyzing and processing policy changes, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining alignment with underwriting guidelines • Accurately handle bind requests as needed, including the preparation and distribution of binders, ID cards, and certificates
• Responsible for quoting and selling personal lines insurance policies to warm inbound affinity member leads • Responsible for knowing all carrier underwriting requirements • Receive daily warm inbound leads via inbound call, online inquiries, and referrals from internal departments • Assess needs, gathering required information to properly rate and underwrite, preparing and offering quotes to secure the sale, explaining coverages and making recommendations, and creating/binding completed applications • Responsible for meeting monthly sales goals with a lucrative compensation plan
