Job Description

AI Technical SME – Architect

Alpha Omega

• Hands-On AI Solution Engineering: Design, develop, and deploy AI-enabled solutions and prototypes integrated into mission-critical systems • Embed AI into workflows such as: Developer productivity (code generation, testing, refactoring) Operations automation (AIOps, anomaly detection) Data-driven insights and decision support • Build and integrate AI services within cloud-native (Azure) and hybrid architectures • Develop reusable frameworks, accelerators, and reference implementations • Architect scalable, secure AI/ML solutions leveraging Azure (App Services, AKS, Functions, Data Services) • Guide modernization efforts for legacy and hybrid systems (ASP, VBScript, COBOL → cloud-native patterns) • Act as an AI coach and mentor to multiple engineering teams • Conduct training sessions, hands-on workshops, office hours, and advisory sessions • Analyze application portfolio to identify AI insertion points, automation opportunities, technical debt reduction strategies

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud architecture, or platform engineering
  • Hands-on expertise in: Cloud platforms (Azure preferred), Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD and DevSecOps
  • Strong programming experience across multiple languages and frameworks
  • Experience integrating or implementing AI/ML solutions in enterprise environments
  • Proven ability to work across both modern and legacy systems
