Working with a collaborative, strategic, and creative approach, the Marketing Manager will thrive on managing a wide variety of key marketing initiatives in support of a passionate, dynamic community (the outdoor industry). The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Switchback Event Director to develop comprehensive marketing strategies and will be responsible for the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, building and maintaining media partnerships, managing the event’s PR agency and guiding press strategy, managing marketing team members, and many other initiatives in support of the Switchback brand, which includes Switchback Spring, Switchback at The Running Event, and Switchback’s growing digital publication, Trailheads. This role requires a blend of creative thinking, strategic planning, analytical skills, and diverse marketing expertise to attract, engage, convert, and support Switchback’s retail, brand, and partner community. Your Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies in partnership with the Event Director, including multi-channel campaigns supporting Switchback's event registration, exhibit sales, digital content goals, and Trailheads publication while managing multiple concurrent initiatives. Create compelling content and maintain brand consistency across all channels – across all channels—websites, press releases, email campaigns, social media, partner advertising, onsite signage, Trailheads articles, and more—while managing marketing budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure on-time, on-budget completion. Build and manage strategic relationships with media partners, industry associations, influencers, PR agencies, and vendors to drive year-round event visibility and strengthen Switchback's presence in the outdoor industry. Analyze market trends and campaign performance to continuously optimize marketing strategies, identify new opportunities for brand awareness and conversion, and deliver weekly KPIs to leadership. Manage marketing budgets, timelines, and onsite event execution , ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery while leading branding, PR/media efforts, and attendee engagement initiatives during events. What We’re Looking For: Experience & Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or related field preferred; 6+ years of progressive marketing experience with a proven track record of developing and executing multi-channel campaigns. Budget management experience required. B2B marketing and/or outdoor industry experience a plus. Creative & Content Expertise: Strong writing, editing, and design skills with the ability to craft compelling messaging across diverse channels—from Trailheads articles to event campaigns—while maintaining consistent brand identity. Strategic & Analytical Mindset: Ability to research market trends, analyze performance metrics, and identify opportunities to optimize campaigns and maximize ROI while staying current with outdoor industry developments. Project Management Excellence: Exceptional organizational skills with extreme attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Leadership & Collaboration: Team management experience with excellent communication skills – you listen, motivate, and work seamlessly across departments while being flexible enough to pivot when priorities shift. Excellent written and verbal communication. Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with CMS platforms (WordPress preferred), marketing automation systems (Marketo, HubSpot, etc.) GA4, Canva/Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite. Basic HTML knowledge helpful. Travel : Frequent travel required. About the job As our eBusiness Marketing Manager for the Northern Europe Cluster, you will own and drive the eBusiness marketing strategy to accelerate the adoption, usage and commercial success of our digital ecosystem. This includes the Customer & Partner Portal, Partner Web ‑ Shops, EDI solutions and the digital Product Catalogue. You will work at the crossroads of digital marketing, strategy, and business development , driving growth together with Sales, Marketing, GSS teams and cluster management. Your mission is to increase traffic, activation, online buying customers and overall eBusiness performance , while continuously enhancing the customer experience. In this role, you will: Develop and implement the cluster eBusiness marketing strategy , aligned with global priorities and key stakeholders. Promote our eCommerce offering to customers and partners, driving engagement, activation and usage. Execute targeted digital marketing activities supporting lead generation, online sales and customer onboarding. Co‑create relevant content with Excellence Areas and GSS Marketing. • Own and shape Tines’ content strategy • Develop and execute a clear, differentiated content strategy aligned to Tines’ positioning around intelligent workflows. • Define priority narratives, audiences, formats, and channels across the full funnel. • Ensure content serves multiple objectives: brand, thought leadership, AEO/SEO, growth marketing, and sales enablement. • Act as the final editorial voice and quality bar for all major content initiatives. • Personally contribute high‑impact content, campaign narratives, and executive thought leadership. • Identify, shape, and edit strong stories from across the company: product, engineering, customers, and leadership. • Mentor and develop a content team and a roster of contractors, providing clear editorial direction, feedback, and growth paths. • Build scalable processes that allow the team to move fast without sacrificing quality. • Establish Tines as a trusted voice for builders, operators, and systems thinkers through authoritative, original content. • Oversee the creation of premium assets such as industry reports, research‑driven narratives, customer stories, and serialized content (e.g podcasts, video series). • Partner closely with Comms, PR, and Analyst Relations to ensure content supports broader influence and visibility efforts. • Design and operate a distribution-first content system, ensuring every meaningful asset is repurposed, amplified, and measured across channels. • Be data‑driven, defining success metrics, tracking performance, and iterating based on results. • Experiment with new formats, channels, and platforms to expand reach and relevance. • Work closely with Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Marketing, and Product to ensure content reinforces Tines’ differentiation.
