Field Service Engineer – Vascular
Abbott
• Ensure the performance and reliability of advanced systems like Coroflow and OPTIS by installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment that supports patient care. • Serve as a key technical expert, providing high-quality service and training to healthcare professionals while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive customer satisfaction and operational excellence. • Perform installations, emergency repairs, and preventative maintenance of Abbott’s Vascular Division instrumentation. • Perform technology installation, configuration, connectivity, calibration, safety/functional testing emergency repair, preventative maintenance, and product updates at customer site of the Vascular product lines. • Provides in-service training to clinicians on the use of Abbott Vascular technology platforms and accessories, primarily Coroflow and OPTIS systems. • Establish and sustain active communication link with CSC personnel, and provide daily support for all territories as required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences (Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, Biology or Chemistry) is required.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in an electrophysiology or cardiology lab.
- Demonstrated familiarity with cardiac catheterization lab procedures and protocols.
- Ability to understand and comply with company policies and applicable industry laws and regulations.
- Personal computing skills with ability to perform word processing/spreadsheet tasks to perform documentation, presentation, and analysis activities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a diverse cross-functional team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in a preceptor role.
- Travel up to 75%.
