Title: Senior Specialist, Regulatory Location: Avon Lake United States Job Description: Avient Corporation seeks Senior Regulatory Specialist at its facility located at 33587 Walker Rd, Avon Lake, OH 44012. JOB DESCRIPTION: Support US and Canada regional customer inquiries related to Avient products meeting various global regulations. Identify and recommend steps to mitigate the impact of impending regulatory changes on Avient’s portfolio. Work with suppliers to maintain all required raw material regulatory information. Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the product regulatory information systems, including SAP EH&S modules on product safety, HazComm, dangerous goods, etc. Hybrid telecommuting permitted: 3 days per week in office required. Responsibilities This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field, plus 5 years of experience as a Regulatory Specialist, Data Manager, Product Steward, or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Applying all applicable regulations related to Hazard Communication (North America, Europe, Asia, etc.), such as GHS, EU CLP and other regional regulations; (2) Working with North American regulatory agencies such as EPA, FDA, or FIFRA to assist in product registrations, and submissions; (3) Maintaining all relevant product information within the SAP EH&S Module and other PS systems provide data for various reports; (4) Obtaining and maintaining compliance information on various raw materials to support customer requests related to REACH, RoHS, TSCA, Prop 65; and (5) Working with manufacturing plants to provide guidance on best practices to maintain regulatory compliance and providing training to end-users. #LI-DNI About Us Our purpose at Avient Corporation is to be an innovator of materials solutions that help our customers succeed, while enabling a sustainable world.
