Area Manager – Retail Mortgage

• Recruit, onboard, and develop a team of mortgage loan officers across your designated Texas market area • Coach your team to hit individual and branch-level volume goals • Build and nurture referral relationships with real estate professionals, builders, financial advisors, and other purchase-market partners • Oversee day-to-day branch operations, ensuring pipeline quality, compliance adherence, and an exceptional borrower experience from application through closing • Partner with operations, processing, and underwriting teams to drive loan velocity and resolve escalated file issues • Monitor local market trends, competitor activity, and rate environments to keep your team positioned and informed • Report branch performance metrics to senior leadership and contribute to strategic planning for market expansion

Job Requirements

  • Active NMLS
  • Demonstrated experience in retail mortgage production
  • Prior mortgage leadership experience (3 years minimum)
  • Deep knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loan products; jumbo and non-QM
  • Proven ability to recruit, retain, and develop producing loan officers in a competitive market
  • Strong purchase-market orientation with an established referral network in Texas
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
