OSP Project Manager

Zayo Group

• Lead and manage the planning and execution of outside plant break/fix from inception to completion. • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for projects as required. • Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, construction, design) and external stakeholders (clients, vendors, contractors) to ensure SLA objectives are met. • Oversee OSP activities, including fiber placement, splicing coordination, make-ready support, restoration, and maintenance. • Ensure work aligns with construction prints, permits, and engineering specifications. • Oversee project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled, and projects are delivered on time and within scope. • Establish, monitor, and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of deliverables and supporting workflows. • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to avoid delays or budget overruns. • Maintain clear and continuous communication with all stakeholders, including clients, senior management, project teams, and vendors. • Ensure the project is completed in compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. • Manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and subcontractors, ensuring performance aligns with project requirements and timelines. • Ensure that all project-related documentation is properly maintained and stored, ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Must have working knowledge of structured cabling and routing.
  • Must be familiar with email, MS Excel, Word, Google Earth.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale OSP projects, including fiber optic and cable installations.
  • Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
  • Must be able to read and understand construction documents.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, quality control, and construction standards in OSP projects.
  • Ability to pass MVR check and drive company vehicle in accordance with Fleet Policy.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, required. Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Construction Management, Telecommunications, or a related field, or additional years of experience may be used in lieu of this preference.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in the telecommunications industry with outside plant, fiber optics, telecommunication architectures, optical transport equipment, and project management experience.
