Description of Work DNCR Human Resources is seeking an enthusiastic Circulation Assistant to join our team! The Circulation Assistant supports the mission of the Library of North Carolina’s Accessible Books and Library Services by providing services to North Carolinians who cannot read standard print due to a visual or physical disability. Through circulating audio, print and other mediums to patrons, this position enables our patrons to receive materials in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities • Work successfully as part of a team to support circulation and maintenance of library materials. • Use the library’s integrated library system (ILS), KLAS, daily to enter data accurately for check-in, check-out, and adding/removing materials in collections database. • Daily physical work to circulate and repair library materials such as braille books, large print books, and digital cartridges. . • Safely operate a 2.5-ton delivery truck to deliver library mail. • Communicate with patrons via telephone as part of an ongoing Overdue Notices process.
