Aerospace Materials – Field Service Technician
PPG
• Support secure launch, development, and commercial introduction of new aerospace products. • Diagnose and resolve product quality and application issues through on-site observation, data analysis, and hands-on troubleshooting across multiple product systems. • Assemble, operate, maintain, and manage aerospace application equipment and related inventory. • Develop, document, and communicate corrective actions, procedures, and technical findings to internal teams and customers. • Deliver comprehensive, independent customer training (in-house and on-site) across Commercial, General Aviation, and Military product segments; contribute to Aerospace Academy course development and instruction. • Collaborate with customers on new engineering specifications and provide advanced technical support to internal service teams. • Maintain accurate project, customer, and travel records within the PPG Aerospace CRM system.
Job Requirements
- Three or more years’ experience in coatings application is preferred.
- Previous aerospace or large-scale experience is a bonus.
- Experience with or willingness to learn and apply six-sigma methods and experimental design.
- Must be able to speak, read, write & interpret technical information in English.
- Valid Driver's License is required.
- Available to travel 50 to 75% annually - domestic and international.
