Role Description Choice Hotels, one of the world’s largest lodging franchisors, is seeking a results-driven Global Sales Manager – Sports Accounts to manage and grow a portfolio of high-value accounts generating approximately $10M+ in annual revenue. This role is responsible for driving market share growth, strengthening executive-level relationships, and developing new business opportunities within the sports and entertainment ecosystem. The position requires a strategic sales professional who can deliver measurable revenue results while positioning Choice Hotels’ value proposition to key decision-makers. This role operates with significant autonomy and is accountable for achieving individual revenue targets and expanding long-term customer partnerships. Responsibilities - Account Management - Manage and grow a portfolio of sports accounts to increase revenue production and market share - Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers to drive long-term partnerships - Analyze account performance, customer trends, and market dynamics to inform strategic growth plans - Conduct regular strategic account reviews and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) - Retain and expand existing accounts through proactive engagement, renewals, and value-based selling - Deliver solutions that balance customer needs with franchisee performance and profitability - Business Development - Identify and develop new business opportunities within the sports segment through networking, events, and proactive outreach - Qualify and prioritize prospects based on revenue potential, business needs, and buying readiness - Position Choice Hotels’ brands and solutions to meet customer objectives and drive incremental room night revenue - Manage full sales cycle including prospecting, relationship development, and deal advancement - Monitor industry trends and competitive activity to refine strategy and strengthen market positioning - Account Administration & Sales Execution - Maintain accurate Salesforce/CRM records including pipeline, contacts, forecasts, and account activity - Leverage CRM insights and performance data to inform forecasting and strategic decisions - Develop and maintain account plans, relationship maps, and growth strategies - Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage renewals to support revenue growth - Lead QBRs and planning sessions to align on performance and future opportunities - Participate in training to stay current on sales tools, systems, and brand offerings Qualifications - Minimum 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in sports, entertainment, hospitality, or event-driven industries - Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience - Demonstrated experience managing large account portfolios and delivering measurable revenue growth - Experience working with complex sales cycles and high-value accounts - Proven ability to meet or exceed individual sales quotas and revenue targets - Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM platforms - Strong analytical and forecasting capabilities - Familiarity with sales performance metrics and pipeline management tools - Competitive, results-driven mindset with strong resilience and grit - Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal communication skills - Strategic thinking with ability to identify and act on growth opportunities - Strong business acumen and ability to influence decision-makers - Ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally Requirements - The salary range for this position is $82,500 to $110,000 annually plus commission via participation in Choice’s Global Sales Incentive Plan.
