Senior Product Designer
Choice Hotels InternationalChoice Hotels International is self-described as one of the largest and most successful lodging franchises worldwide, franchising over 7,000 hotels across 40+ c
Role Description As a Senior Product Designer at Choice Hotels, you'll own the design of a targeted initiative within a Product Team. You won't be handed decisions to "make pretty"; you'll be in the room from the first conversation, shaping what gets built through the customer's lens. Your job is to ensure what we build is something customers can actually use and want to use, while driving product and business outcomes. That takes deep customer knowledge, rapid prototyping, and the judgment to know when a solution is ready to ship. You're the person the team looks to for whether this product actually works for the customers who use it through every interaction and every workflow. What You'll Do - Customer Research & Discovery: Spend real time with customers to uncover needs they can't articulate. Turn that research, along with analytics and feedback, into design strategies that shape the product’s direction, and lead discovery sessions. - Prototyping & Ideation: Sketch, wireframe, and prototype at varying fidelity, from napkin sketches to interactive prototypes, testing concepts with customers before engineering commits. Craft user journeys balancing their needs with brand, technical and business constraints. - Design Craft & Systems: Take work from low-fidelity exploration to production-ready UI, holding usability and visual polish to a high bar. - Collaboration & Communication: Partner with Product Managers and Tech Leads as equals, clearly document intent and edge cases for engineering, and present strategic design recommendations to stakeholders. - Problem Solving & Analysis: Tackle complex, often ambiguous design problems independently, using data and research, while knowing when to bring in peers or leadership for high-stakes calls. Follow through after launch, iterating on evidence, and proactively look for ways to improve journeys and conversion. Qualifications - Deep mastery of human-centered design and systems thinking. - Track record of owning design end-to-end from problem definition through delivery. - Ability to conduct own research and point to specific customers and insights that changed designs. - Advocate for usability and accessibility while tying user value to the product vision and outcomes. - Advanced in production-ready design, with strong interaction and visual skills. - Knowledge of frontend constraints to design realistically and partner well with engineering. - Ability to navigate value, usability, feasibility, and viability trade-offs with Product Manager and Tech Lead. - Clear communication in terms of customer outcomes, influencing product strategy. Requirements - Experience in shaping what gets built and challenging assumptions. - Ability to manage multiple workstreams and surface ambiguity early. - Experience in storytelling that influences product strategy. Benefits - Competitive compensation and benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage. - Leave and paid time-off for holidays, vacation, personal, family, volunteer, sick, jury duty, bereavement, military, and religious observance. - Financial benefits for retirement and health savings. - Employee recognition programs. - Discounts at Choice hotels worldwide. Salary Range The salary range for this position is $142,000 to $167,000 annually. In addition to the annual salary, this role is eligible for an annual bonus based on the terms of Choice's Management Incentive Plan (MIP).
Senior Director, Product Management
Choice Hotels InternationalChoice Hotels International is self-described as one of the largest and most successful lodging franchises worldwide, franchising over 7,000 hotels across 40+ c
Role Description Choice Hotels is evolving how we build, deliver, and scale solutions through a shift to a Product Operating Model (POM), a company-wide transformation focused on delivering real customer and business outcomes. We are building cross-functional product teams empowered to drive outcomes for our guests, franchisees, owners, and associates — and we're looking for talented product professionals who are passionate about solving meaningful problems end-to-end. The Senior Director, Product Management is a senior product leadership role with accountability for the health, direction, and outcomes of a highly complex product portfolio spanning multiple functions or a critical domain at the core of the business. Your job is to lead the leaders. You'll manage Directors and Senior Managers who run their own product teams, and you'll hold yourself accountable for what those teams build, how well they operate, and the business outcomes they generate. Success here is measured by the quality of the leaders you develop, the clarity and durability of the strategy your organization executes, and whether the portfolio moves the business in the right direction — not just this quarter, but over the next one to three years. What You'll Do - Define and own the product strategy for a highly complex portfolio. - Translate company objectives into portfolio strategy. - Lead and develop Directors and Senior Managers. - Build product leadership capability, not product leadership dependency. - Anticipate and solve complex, cross-functional problems. - Own budget decisions and resource allocation for your portfolio. - Make staffing decisions, not just recommendations. - Partner with Engineering, Design, Data, and Commercial leadership as a peer. - Design a team structure and operating model that can handle complexity. - Own the outcomes across your portfolio — fully. Qualifications - You've developed product leaders — Directors, Senior Managers, or equivalent. - You've owned product strategy for a large or highly complex portfolio. - You know how to make multi-year decisions under uncertainty. - You're an internal authority on product management as a discipline. - You've managed budgets, made resource trade-offs, and held yourself accountable for the financial implications of your product decisions. - You've solved problems that didn't stay inside your product organization. - Engineering, design, and commercial leaders think of you as a genuine strategic peer. - You've built teams with deliberate thought about structure, ownership, and operating model. Requirements - If you're still energized primarily by hands-on product work and want a bigger portfolio to manage personally, this isn't the role. - If your model of senior leadership is setting strategy once a year and delegating execution, this will feel uncomfortable fast. - If you think developing product leaders means occasional feedback conversations, we're looking for something far more deliberate and sustained. - If you need to control the most important decisions across your portfolio to feel effective, this job will frustrate you. Salary Range The salary range for this position is $190,000 to $250,000 annually. In addition to the annual salary, this role is eligible for an annual bonus based on the terms of Choice's Management Incentive Plan (MIP), as well as annual awards of Choice Hotels International common stock through Choice’s Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTI Plan).
Senior Product Manager
This transformation represents a unique opportunity to help shape how one of the world's leading lodging franchisors innovates and grows. Upcoming Opportunity - Senior Product Manager The Senior Product Manager takes on the hardest product problems in the business — the ones with real cross-functional impact, messy trade-offs, and no clean answers at the start. This is a senior individual contributor role with influence that reaches beyond a single squad or feature set. Your work will shape product decisions that inspire our customers and drive value to Choice. You’ll be expected to bring clarity to ambiguity, connect product decisions to business outcomes, and make calls that affect overall product strategy, customer experience, revenue, and cost. This is not a coordination role. It is not a people management role. Your impact comes from the quality of your thinking, the sharpness of your judgment, and the standard you set for how product work gets done. What You’ll Do - Own discovery and delivery for highly complex product problems that cut across teams, systems, and customer journeys. - Contribute directly to product strategy. - Turn ambiguity into decisions using customer research, data analysis, prototyping, and experimentation. - Connect the dots across product, engineering, design, operations, and commercial teams. - Bring a clear business lens to product work. - Partner with business unit leaders and subject matter experts to shape priorities, clarify direction, and pressure-test strategy. - Raise the bar for product practice. - Mentor PMs informally. Qualifications - You’ve solved genuinely hard product problems and can explain the mess, not just the outcome. - You’ve made consequential product decisions that affected business performance, and you understand the trade-offs behind them. - You’re comfortable working with incomplete information and still making a call. - You know how to do strong discovery in a real, disciplined, structured way. - You can use data without hiding behind it. - You have enough technical depth to work meaningfully with engineering on architecture, platform constraints, and delivery trade-offs. - You understand how product decisions tie back to business unit goals, customer outcomes, and longer-term strategy. - You’ve built enough judgment that people trust your recommendations, even when the answer is uncomfortable. Requirements - This role is not for those who want to spend most of their time coordinating across teams or reviewing other people’s work. - If your seniority has moved you away from hands-on product work, this is probably not the right job. - This is not a people leadership role. - If your background does not map perfectly to every line above but this still sounds like you, we would still like to hear from you. Salary Range The salary range for this position is $151,000 to $178,000 annually. In addition to the annual salary, this role is eligible for an annual bonus based on the terms of Choice's Management Incentive Plan (MIP).
