General Dynamics
• Maintain smooth operation of local area, worldwide, and virtual private networks (VPN) • Plan, evaluate, design, and coordinate installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication networks • Maintain technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing • Propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage • Prepare or ensure that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions • Provide regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems • May coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment • May design network or portion of network that includes selection and recommendation of hardware and software packages
Job Requirements
- Must have a current and active Secret clearance
- Network analysis experience - 3 years of experience
- IAT Level II (Security+ or equivalent certification) desired
- Must be able to read and understand schematics and designs
- Must hold a valid Driver's License
- Knowledge of low voltage hardware desired
- Experience with using Hand and Power Tools desired
- Ability to travel frequently
- Candidate must be local to Southeast region of the U.S. for customer travel
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science (desired)
- 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree
