Role Description The effective and efficient operating of our core IT business services is critical to our ongoing success. The role will deliver services to the entire business, in particular working very closely with our Revenue Operations, Business Operations, Security and Platform teams to ensure that delivery is timely and to a high standard. The Senior Systems Engineer role will be responsible for all aspects of our Internal IT and the core productivity tools – from definition and design, through to implementation and ongoing operational management. This is a hands-on role requiring: - Deep technical expertise and leadership - Strong project planning and task/time management - A positive can-do/get-stuff-done attitude - Commercial awareness - Amazing customer service What you’ll do: - Design and manage all aspects of a Microsoft centric IT infrastructure environment – across Azure, Microsoft infrastructure/management tools, and end user productivity tools (primarily the MS 365 suite). - Design and manage our identity and access management solutions, policies and controls, primarily utilising Microsoft Entra and supporting solutions. - Design and manage our end point life cycle management solution (including MDM) covering policy, procurement, provisioning, management and decommissioning. - Design and manage physical infrastructure such as internet connectivity, local networking, physical access controls, AV/meeting rooms, and printing. - Define and manage a services operation approach (based on ITIL) providing key processes and policies that manage risk appropriately, whilst maintaining a focus on pragmatic delivery. - Liaise with our Security Team to ensure systems are delivered and maintained in line with LawVu’s security policy and standards, ISO/SOC standards, MFA approach, and end point protection measures. - Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure solutions enable our Teams to work as effectively and efficiently as possible. - Work across the Business as required to help in the selection process of other business services solutions (i.e. HRIS, FMIS, etc), ensuring a cohesive business technology environment is maintained. - Engage and lead external technical resource/vendors as required to assist in the delivery of IT business services. - Ensure our solutions take advantage of heavy automation, AI and emerging technologies, and repeatable processes to reduce manual effort/improve productivity across business services. - Provide leadership and guidance to junior members within the Team, including documentation, help and escalation of technical issues. - Provide deskside and remote support for end users – level 1–3 as required. - Be friendly, customer focused, open minded, and willing to jump in and help. Qualifications - 8+ years experience in a similar systems engineer role leading an IT environment. - Strong experience defining and supporting a Microsoft infrastructure environment – Entra, Intune, Sharepoint, Exchange, Teams, One Drive, 365, Azure, and Co-Pilot. - Experience across other technologies, i.e. PowerShell, Jira, Slack, Google suite/infrastructure, other AI/automation tools. - Strong demonstrated experience with end point management. - Microsoft certifications including Admin Associate (AZ-104), Endpoint Admin Associate (MD-102), MS 365 Admin (MS-102), Windows Server Admin Associate (AZ-800), and/or Security Fundamentals (SC-900). MCSE in old language, but demonstratable progress towards current certs. - Strongly desired certification or demonstratable experience in MS identity and access (SC-300), Azure AI Engineer (AZ-102), and/or Azure virtual desktop. - A growth mindset, being curious, with strong analytical and problem solving skills. - A strong communicator, being able to bridge the gap between business requirements and outcomes to technical solutions and actions. - Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where the “how” is not always known, focused on proactively solving challenges as they emerge.
