Role Description We are looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer to join the Zeta Marketing Platform team. The engineer will be responsible for building scalable, high-performance systems that power customer engagement, campaign orchestration, personalization, analytics, and marketing automation across multiple channels. The ideal candidate should have strong backend engineering skills, experience with distributed systems, and a product mindset to build reliable marketing technology solutions used at scale. - Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for the Zeta Marketing Platform. - Build APIs, event-driven systems, and workflows that support customer segmentation, campaign execution, and personalization. - Collaborate with Product, Data Science, Analytics, and frontend teams to deliver end-to-end marketing platform capabilities. - Optimize platform performance, reliability, observability, and scalability. - Develop integrations with internal and external communication channels such as email, push notifications, SMS, WhatsApp, and in-app messaging. - Work on real-time data processing pipelines and customer engagement workflows. - Ensure high engineering standards through code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and operational excellence. - Troubleshoot production issues and participate in on-call rotations when required. - Contribute to architecture discussions and technology decisions. Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field. - 6-8 years of experience in backend software engineering. - Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and Liquid templating. - Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices, REST APIs, and asynchronous processing. - Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of system design fundamentals. - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and production debugging. - Work experience in Zeta notification platform. - Strong ownership mindset and bias for action. - Ability to work in fast-paced, product-driven environments. - Excellent collaboration and communication skills. - Passion for building scalable systems and solving complex engineering problems. In this role, you will be the hands-on build force behind Genzeon's payer-side Prior Authorization automation, working within a defined solution architecture to develop, test, deploy, and maintain UiPath automations that operate in live healthcare environments.
