Role Description Woolpert is hiring a Senior Project Architect to join our dynamic Architecture team in our Charlotte, NC office. This position reports to the Architectural Team Leader and is responsible for contributing to multiple project types across the region and across the nation. Project types include lower/higher educational facilities, data centers, and other public or private market developments. What You Will Do: - Drive project execution, along with the project manager, working closely with clients, consultants, team members, and other project contributors. - Guide and manage a team of architects, engineers, and production staff to deliver innovative projects that exceed client expectations. - Lead research into relevant code, materials and systems, and client-specific prompts, leveraging derived insights to create unique and innovative design solutions. - Develop thoughtful technical solutions and manage the delivery of clear and concise project documentation. - Seek opportunities to contribute to design excellence by playing an active role in a collaborative design process. - Participate in the conceptual design of projects and provide full support through the entire project life cycle. - Develop and represent lead technical viewpoint on projects. - Review completed reports, plans, estimates, and calculations. - Prepare graphics, presentations, contract drawings, and regulatory submissions. - Organize and maintain project record information and drawings. - Coordinate with clients, project consultants, and engineers. - Plan and supervise design and/or technical work of less senior architects and technicians. • Serve as the primary technical authority for CPQ and Quote-to-Cash initiatives, representing Zaelab in client-facing architectural discussions, solution reviews, and technical decision-making. • Act as a subject matter expert in Quote-to-Cash processes, including product modeling, pricing strategies, discounting, approvals, contracts, and downstream order fulfillment. Lead architecture and functional design of custom product configurators, including technologies such as Logik.ai (ServiceNow). Translate complex revenue models into scalable CPQ architectures aligned with platform best practices. • Design scalable and secure architectures that integrate with commerce platforms, ERP systems, CDPs, middleware, and adjacent enterprise systems. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to create prototypes and proofs of concept to validate requirements and solution approaches. • Conduct business and technical discovery, assessing current-state revenue systems and defining future-state CPQ roadmaps. Lead business process mapping sessions and produce functional and architectural documentation. Perform gap analysis and identify opportunities to optimize business processes through CPQ and commerce capabilities. • Maintain a hands-on approach to solution delivery, contributing to configuration, development, and technical problem-solving alongside the team. Partner closely with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently. Troubleshoot complex functional and technical issues, identifying root causes and driving resolution. • Troubleshoot complex technical issues, ensuring consistent delivery momentum and high-quality outcomes. • Mentor consultants, developers, and analysts on CPQ architecture patterns, platform capabilities, and delivery best practices. Clearly articulate CPQ solution value to technical and non-technical audiences. • Contribute to Zaelab accelerators, templates, and repeatable CPQ implementation patterns. Stay current with CPQ, commerce, and platform trends, sharing insights internally and externally. Participate in internal enablement, client workshops, and industry/community forums.

Role Description The Solution Architect at ryd is the bridge between ryd's integration platform and the partner's reality. You analyze a partner's system, select and adapt the best integration approach, and draft the architecture that makes the integration work. You collaborate closely with the System Architect to improve ryd's integration approaches based on real-world experience. You are the person who makes integration happen — for a fintech, a fleet SaaS, an ERP, or an automotive OEM. You work closely with partner-facing teams (business development, partner success, product) and engineering teams. Core Responsibilities - Analyze Partner Systems - Conduct technical discovery with partners — understand their tech stack, architecture, APIs, authentication model, data requirements, and constraints. - Map the partner's business goals to technical integration requirements. - Identify potential integration blockers early: incompatible auth models, missing APIs, data format mismatches, latency constraints, compliance issues (GDPR, PCI-DSS). - Document the partner's current state architecture — what they have, what they need, what they can and cannot change. - Recommend Integration Approaches - Select the best fit for the partner from ryd's catalog of integration approaches. - Justify the recommendation with technical reasoning. - Identify gaps and propose adaptations or new approach patterns. - Estimate integration effort, timeline, and risks. - Draft Integration Architecture - Create high-level integration architecture documents: system context diagram, data flow diagram, sequence diagrams for key flows, component mapping. - Define the API contract: request/response schemas, event payloads, error codes, rate limits, idempotency keys. - Specify the authentication and authorization model. - Define the error handling and retry strategy. - Specify non-functional requirements: latency SLAs, throughput, data retention, logging, monitoring. - Create low-level technical design for the integration. - Hands-On Validation (POCs) - Build proof-of-concept integrations to validate the architecture before full development. - Write integration test suites — simulate the partner's system, test the integration end-to-end. - Create sandbox configurations for the partner to test against. - Demonstrate the POC to the partner and to ryd's engineering team. - Hand off the validated architecture to the development team with clear implementation guidance. - Collaborate with the System Architect - Provide structured feedback from every integration. - Identify patterns across integrations. - Suggest improvements to integration approaches based on real-world usage. - Contribute to the integration catalog. - Participate in architecture reviews. - Partner Communication & Stakeholder Management - Present integration architectures to partners' technical teams. - Translate between partner business needs and ryd technical capabilities. - Manage technical expectations. - Support pre-sales activities. - Contribute to partner-facing documentation. Qualifications - 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a solution architecture, technical consulting, or integration engineering role. - Strong analysis and design skills. - Hands-on coding ability (Node.js/TypeScript preferred). - API design expertise (REST, GraphQL, webhooks, event-driven patterns). - Communication and presentation skills. - Stakeholder management experience. - Cloud-native understanding. - Willingness to continually learn AI (Must). - Hands-on, get-things-done attitude.
