Role Description Join SSP America and help shape a hiring experience that is organized, responsive, and candidate-focused from first contact through onboarding. We are looking for a hands-on team lead who brings strong coordination skills, comfort with recruiting systems and tools, and a passion for creating a smooth, welcoming experience for candidates and hiring teams across the United States and Canada. In this role, you will support recruiting operations, improve candidate experience processes, and serve as a go-to resource for tools, workflows, and day-to-day issue resolution. Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or coursework in human resources, business, communications, operations, or a related field is a plus. - Minimum of three years of experience in high volume recruiting required. - Comfort working with applicant tracking systems, recruiting platforms, Microsoft Office, and other digital tools; experience helping others navigate systems is a plus. - Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to stay on top of multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. - Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create a professional and welcoming experience for candidates and internal partners. - Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment, with the ability to spot issues, stay calm under pressure, and help keep hiring processes moving. - Able to work independently while also partnering effectively with recruiters, hiring managers, and cross-functional teams. - Knowledge of recruiting processes and employment practices preferred; experience supporting hiring in both the United States and Canada is a plus. - Demonstrated accountability, collaboration, professionalism, customer service, and follow-through in prior roles. - Must be eligible to work in the United States or Canada without sponsorship and able to travel up to 20% as business needs require. - Must be able to pass and maintain a criminal background check and, where required, TSA, FAA, or other airport-related clearances. Requirements - Coordinate day-to-day candidate experience activities, including sourcing support, interview scheduling, candidate communication, pre-onboarding, and onboarding. - Help ensure candidates move through the hiring process smoothly by providing timely follow-up, clear communication, and consistent coordination. - Maintain accurate candidate records, interview documentation, trackers, and status updates while protecting confidentiality. - Serve as a primary resource for applicant tracking systems, recruiting tools, AI-enabled technology, and related processes. - Help identify process gaps, troubleshoot issues, and support improvements that make recruiting operations more efficient and effective. - Support process documentation, team training, and best practices related to recruiting tools and workflows. - Work closely with recruiters, hiring managers, People teams, and other stakeholders to support hiring needs and deliver a consistent recruiting process. - Help resolve candidate experience and onboarding issues by gathering information, coordinating with the right partners, and communicating updates clearly. - Track recruiting and candidate experience data, maintain accurate reporting, and surface trends or opportunities for improvement. - Support employer branding and talent attraction efforts, including recruiting events, referrals, and other hiring initiatives as needed. - Provide flexible support across recruiting priorities based on hiring volume and business needs. - Travel within the United States and Canada, including overnight travel, as needed.
