UI Designer
Templafy
About us: Founded in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 2014, Templafy’s success is built by our 60+ employee nationalities found at offices around the world. We believe that when people feel valued, heard, and empowered, they perform at their best—creating a win for all. Our unique product and dedication to innovation and excellence have raised over $200 million in funding from top investors like Insight Venture Partners, Seed Capital, Dawn Capital, Damgaard Company and Golub Capital. Design software that feels polished, intuitive, and humanTemplafy helps people create business documents and presentations faster, better, and more consistently. Our product lives where people already work, inside Microsoft Office, document workflows, content libraries, and AI-powered tools. We're looking for a UI Designer to elevate that experience. This role is for someone with exceptional visual judgment and a passion for interface design. Someone who cares deeply about how software feels in the moment, how it guides, reassures, and delights users through thoughtful design. You will help transform complex workflows into experiences that feel intuitive, engaging, and trustworthy. This isn't a broad product design role where UI is an afterthought. We're looking for someone passionate about the craft of interface design and eager to shape the next generation of productivity software. We are open to different levels of experience. What matters most is your design instinct, your ability to learn quickly, and your ambition to raise the quality of user experiences. Why this role mattersTemplafy is evolving into a product users can discover, understand, and adopt with minimal training or support. That puts the interface at the center of the experience. It needs to communicate clearly, guide users confidently, and feel cohesive across every interaction. Your work will directly influence how users perceive the quality, usability, and trustworthiness of our product. Why join our design teamAt Templafy, design plays a strategic role in shaping the product. We combine strong design craft with product thinking and AI-assisted workflows, using rapid prototyping tools to explore ideas and validate concepts faster. Designers are encouraged to challenge assumptions, influence direction, and help define how great software should feel. You'll join a team that values experimentation, continuous improvement, and design excellence, and you'll have a meaningful voice in how we work and what we build. You will be joining a smaller but mighty product designer team of 2 designers and 3 product managers, all based in Copenhagen, Denmark. What you'll work onYou'll help shape the core end-user experience across Templafy's product surfaces, including content management, document generation, templates, assets, and AI-powered workflows. Examples include: - Making our Microsoft Office experience more intuitive and self-explanatory - Improving task panes, navigation, cards, empty states, and interaction patterns - Helping users understand and adopt Document Agent, our AI-powered document creation experience - Creating a more seamless connection between content management and AI workflows - Improving onboarding, feature discovery, and in-product guidance - Designing feedback mechanisms, interaction states, and micro-interactions - Using AI-assisted prototyping tools to explore and communicate ideas rapidly - Strengthening end-user patterns within our design system - Partnering closely with Product Managers and Engineers to deliver high-quality user experiences Much of this work lives in the details, layout, hierarchy, typography, spacing, motion, iconography, and interaction design. It's the difference between software that functions and software that feels effortless. What we're looking forWe're looking for someone with outstanding UI craft and a strong sense of quality. You know how to make complex software feel simple without oversimplifying it. You understand that visual polish isn't decoration. It's an essential part of usability and trust. You may be a strong fit if you: - Have a portfolio that demonstrates exceptional interface design and visual and UI craft. - Care deeply about usability, clarity, and first-time user comprehension - Can make complex workflows feel simple, calm, and approachable - Have strong skills in layout, hierarchy, typography, spacing, color, iconography, and interaction design - Know how to introduce personality and engagement without creating unnecessary complexity - Are curious about AI-assisted design workflows and emerging design tools - Enjoy collaborating closely with engineers to ensure great ideas are implemented with precision Experience with B2B SaaS, enterprise software, productivity tools, Microsoft Office add-ins, AI products, or document workflows is a plus, but not required. We're less interested in which tools you've used and more interested in your ability to turn ideas into clear, testable, and compelling experiences. PortfolioPlease include a portfolio with your application. We're particularly interested in examples where you've improved an end-user experience through interface quality, visual clarity, onboarding, feature discovery, interaction design, or overall product polish. Employee Benefits: - Employee equity program - Private health insurance - Company lunch contribution - Phone and broadband covered by company - Centrally located office – easy access to public transportation - Company events and team activities - Flexible work environment - Gympass Subscription - Calm App Subscription At Templafy, we’re all about building an inclusive culture where talented people come together to spark creativity in a dynamic, collaborative space.
