Job Description

Director, Portfolio Manager

MRI Software

• Own end-to-end performance of assigned customer portfolios, including gross and net retention, expansion, churn risk, and revenue predictability • Define portfolio segmentation strategies based on ARR, growth potential, risk profile, industry vertical, and strategic importance • Establish portfolio-level targets, success metrics, and performance benchmarks aligned to corporate objectives • Drive executive-level accountability for portfolio outcomes through structured governance and reporting cadences • Provide strategic leadership over renewal execution in partnership with Sales Renewals and Account Management leaders • Lead proactive churn-risk identification and mitigation strategies across the portfolio • Identify expansion and whitespace opportunities at a portfolio level and influence sales prioritization accordingly • Guide pricing, packaging, and commercial strategy discussions for large or complex portfolios • Serve as the senior point of coordination across Sales, Customer Success, Support, Services, Product, and Finance for portfolio execution • Establish consistent engagement models, escalation paths, and deal strategy across customer segments • Chair regular portfolio reviews with cross-functional leaders to drive alignment, transparency, and action • Influence resource allocation decisions to maximize portfolio performance and efficiency • Own portfolio-level forecasting for renewals, churn risk, and expansion pipeline • Partner with Revenue Operations to ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and KPI visibility • Deliver executive-ready reporting and insights on portfolio health, trends, and risks • Use advanced analytics to inform strategic decisions, investment priorities, and GTM adjustments • Define and evolve portfolio management frameworks, playbooks, and best practices • Identify systemic risks, inefficiencies, or coverage gaps and drive corrective action • Partner with Product and Marketing to ensure portfolio insights inform roadmap prioritization and go-to-market strategy • Champion operational excellence and scalability across customer-facing teams • Lead, mentor, and develop Portfolio Managers or matrixed team members as applicable • Establish performance expectations, development plans, and succession readiness within the portfolio management function • Act as a thought leader within MRI on portfolio strategy, customer economics, and revenue optimization

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, or related field required; MBA preferred
  • 10–15 years of progressive experience in SaaS revenue management, account leadership, customer success, or portfolio management
  • Demonstrated success owning large, complex customer portfolios with material ARR responsibility
  • Deep understanding of SaaS economics, including ARR, NRR, renewals, and expansion levers
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and financial acumen with ability to translate data into action
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed, global organization
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, BI tools, and forecasting systems.
  • Experience in real estate, property management, or financial technology ecosystems strongly preferred.
