• Manage federal, state, and local tax compliance including income, franchise, sales/use, property, and other applicable filings, as well as monitor evolving federal and state tax regulations affecting healthcare and PACE organizations • Coordinate preparation and review of tax returns with external tax advisors and ensure timely and accurate filings • Identify and implement tax-efficient strategies that support the organization’s operational and financial objectives • Evaluate tax impacts of new market expansion, operational changes, and reimbursement structures, as well as develop forward-looking tax planning strategies that align with the organization’s growth strategy • Provide tax analysis and structuring support for acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, and other strategic transactions • Partner with legal, finance, and executive leadership on entity structuring, organizational design, and evaluating tax considerations for new states, markets, and program structures • Translate complex tax matters into practical guidance for business stakeholders, as well as support strategic finance initiatives in partnership with the Controller and CFO
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or taxation; master’s in taxation preferred; CPA preferred
- Seven (7) to ten (10) years of tax experience in public accounting, healthcare, or corporate tax
- Strong experience with multi-state taxation and complex entity structures
- Experience supporting tax planning, structuring, or transaction-related initiatives
- Public company experience strongly preferred
- Healthcare, managed care, nonprofit, or provider organization experience highly preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with data query/data management tools (Access, SQL, Business Objects)

Role Description This role is open for immediate hire and start date due to an incoming, large-scale client engagement that requires a highly capable tax professional ready to contribute from day one. The right candidate is not looking for a ramp — they are ready to lead. The project runs through September 15 and will require significant time commitment through that date. Beyond the project, this is a full-time role with a growing firm and a long-term career path. Serve as a Tax Manager and project leader within Graphite Financial’s Tax Service Line, owning the delivery of complex tax engagements for a portfolio of startup, growth-stage, and VC-backed clients. The Tax Manager brings deep technical expertise in partnership taxation, the organizational discipline to manage large, multi-workstream projects, and the professional presence to serve as a trusted advisor to founders and management teams.
