• Own end-to-end U.S. federal and multi-state income tax compliance across a high-volume, multi-entity filing structure driven by acquisitions • Prepare and review tax filings, including apportionment, nexus analysis, registrations, and audit support • Manage tax calendars, estimated payments, extensions, and ensure timely, accurate filings across all jurisdictions • Lead quarterly and annual tax provision processes (ASC 740), including current/deferred tax calculations, reconciliations, and support for financial reporting and audit • Coordinate international tax compliance (AU, UK, and India) with external advisors; review filings and ensure alignment with global structure • Support transfer pricing execution, intercompany agreements, and documentation in coordination with external advisors • Partner with Legal to manage global entity structure, including entity setup, maintenance, governance filings, and restructuring activities • Collaborate with Finance on global cash management, including repatriation strategies, intercompany funding, dividends, and cash tax efficiency • Identify and execute tax planning and structure optimization opportunities to improve global tax efficiency • Implement and enhance tax processes, controls, and documentation to improve scalability and audit readiness • Evaluate and implement tax and/or entity management systems to increase automation, visibility, and efficiency • Manage relationships with external advisors (e.g., RSM), reducing reliance on outsourced work while maintaining technical quality and coverage
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 5+ years of progressive tax experience
- Strong expertise in U.S. corporate income tax and multi-state compliance.
- Experience with tax provision (ASC 740)
- Exposure to international tax concepts
- Experience with transfer pricing concepts and intercompany arrangements
- Familiarity with tax software and advanced Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution
- Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills

Beyond the project, this is a full-time role with a growing firm and a long-term career path. Serve as a Tax Manager and project leader within Graphite Financial’s Tax Service Line, owning the delivery of complex tax engagements for a portfolio of startup, growth-stage, and VC-backed clients. The Tax Manager brings deep technical expertise in partnership taxation, the organizational discipline to manage large, multi-workstream projects, and the professional presence to serve as a trusted advisor to founders and management teams.
