Role Description Staffinity is currently seeking an autonomous Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician to join a leading national industrial machinery dealership. Based remotely within the province of Quebec, you will independently service, maintain, and install a premium line of heavy-duty material processing and recycling equipment. Because our central corporate parts and dispatch hub is located out-of-province, this role requires a highly reliable self-starter who excels with minimal daily supervision. The service territory covers the Gatineau to Quebec City Metropolitan corridor, with occasional overnight travel required depending on the job site location. Responsibilities: - Field Service & Maintenance: Perform high-level diagnostics, inspections, routine maintenance, and complex installations on large-scale mobile industrial machinery across the designated territory. - Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot intricate electrical and hydraulic systems to identify malfunctions and execute efficient, high-quality repairs on-site at quarries, recycling facilities, and heavy commercial yards. - Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical bulletins to resolve mechanical issues safely. - Reporting: Generate and submit accurate service, maintenance, and warranty reports in an efficient and timely manner. - Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all company policies, occupational health and safety regulations, and site-specific protocols. Qualifications - Experience: 5+ years of hands-on technical experience working with heavy equipment. Open to unlicensed mechanical experts; a formal provincial ticket or Red Seal certification is not required. - Technical Skills: Proven competency in troubleshooting heavy-duty hydraulics and electrical systems. Ability to read complex technical drawings and schematics is mandatory. - Autonomy: Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal daily supervision while maintaining strong communication with an out-of-province regional manager. - Licensing: Valid Class G driver’s license with a clean driving record (abstract required). - Computer Skills: Good digital proficiency for submitting service reports and accessing technical data. - Tools: Must own a personal set of standard hand tools (specialized large air tools are provided by the employer). Role Description Competitive Range Solutions requires the expertise of a talented and experienced Field Engineer to contribute to the critical telecommunications infrastructure that supports government and military operations. The candidate must reference their ability and experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) customer environment and effective integration with a government multi-contractor team. The Field Engineer (FE) is responsible for the development of telecommunications implementation documents in support of network router installation efforts and will be traveling to CONUS and OCONUS sites in Europe, Africa, Asia, and Southwest Asia. Roles and Responsibilities: - Review Government provided information including Detailed Architecture Designs, Site Build Lists, Telecommunications Service Orders (TSO), network element configuration standards, and existing system/site data to confirm site specific requirements. - Review survey reports to include floor plans, ducting runs and power location diagrams for completeness. - Create telecommunications site implementation plan with the following: - Site specific work packages with final engineering design - Detailed instructions to complete the implementation activity - Engineering reference documents (floor space diagrams, rack/equipment diagrams, connectivity tables, etc.) - Comprehensive list of installation-specific Bill of Materials (BOM) - Instructions for required testing - Any other pertinent information - Identify dependencies; provide site specific installation requirements and site preparation actions needed to support the engineering design for inclusion in Site Concurrence Memorandum. - Support development of standardized documents, templates and processes. - Communicate with project and program managers, field engineers, site personnel, government customers, and contractors on related contracts. - Support senior staff as required to ensure customer requirements and implementation milestones are met; support ad-hoc data retrieval and report generation. - Site Preparation Activities - Includes the installation of equipment racks, the installation of power to racks, as necessary, and the installation of cable ladder racks and patch panels. - Hardware/software installation and/or removal - Includes the physical installation of the equipment into a rack or cabinet, the installation of any necessary component devices, the installation of all required power cabling, and the installation of all required network and interface cables to facilitate required interconnectivity. - Site wiring implementation, inspection/testing, and removal. - Generation of completion reports to include as-installed documentation (Red Line drawings). - Circuit end-to-end activation coordination and cutover management for transition actions – Includes the installation of new circuits, the relocation/rehoming of existing circuits, and the decommissioning of circuits that are no longer needed. - All necessary network device configuration changes, the installation of any network cabling, and the installation of any distribution panel jumpers required to facilitate the successful activation of new circuits and the rehoming of existing circuits. - Site implementation testing and checkout. - Card installations and replacement. - Hardware configuration upgrades - Includes the installation of any necessary component devices, the installation of all required power cabling, and the installation of all required network and interface cables to facilitate the required interconnectivity. - Activation actions include all equipment configurations and testing required to facilitate the acceptance of the devices into the Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) by Defense Information Systems Agency. - Travel up to 75% to CONUS and OCONUS locations for required actions. - Work with teams inside and outside of organization to complete required objectives. - Participate in all action meetings and/or team meetings as required.
