Field Applications Engineer

• Provide pre-sales customer support and training for SolarEdge products • Technical team contact in the geographic area for rooftop and ground-mount applications • Train at customer site including design and installation • Create and deliver product and technical training • Understand PV and energy storage modeling tools, such as PVSyst, Helioscope, Energy Tool Base • Ability to read and interpret schematics with a good understanding of high voltage and measurement equipment

Job Requirements

  • BS in Engineering or equivalent experience required
  • 3 - 5 years experience in the renewable energy industry
  • Excellent knowledge of competition, market trends in the renewable energy industry with focus on PV and energy storage.
  • Excellent knowledge of NEC and PV system regulatory codes for PV installations
  • Strong communication skills including listening and handling objections and complex technical inquiries in customer meetings
  • Spanish language a plus

This position works in CDD's Child Care Licensing Unit, and is home-based. CDD is based out of the Waterbury State Office Complex, and the Licensing Unit periodically meets at the complex for monthly team meetings and additional occasional events; a successful candidate will need a reliable way to get to Waterbury for the team's infrequent in-person meetings. The Child Care Licensing Unit is responsible for regulating center-based child care, afterschool care, family child care, and prekindergarten programs in Vermont.
