Role Description Félix is looking for a Senior Application Security Engineer to help scale the security of our software development lifecycle in a fast-growing, cloud-native fintech platform. This is a hands-on role focused on embedding security across CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows. You will work closely with SecOps and engineering teams to ensure that security controls are integrated early in the development process, enabling teams to ship secure code quickly and confidently. You will be responsible for building and improving our DevSecOps capabilities, including: - Security automation - Vulnerability management - Secure coding practices Your mission is to ensure that application security is consistently integrated into Félix’s SDLC, strengthening our overall security posture while supporting rapid product development. Responsibilities - Build and Automate Secure CI/CD Pipelines: Design, implement, and maintain security controls within our GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines. You will be hands-on with tools for Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Software Composition Analysis (SCA), Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) scanning, and secret detection. - Drive Vulnerability Management: Take ownership of our vulnerability management program using platforms like DefectDojo. You will work closely with engineering teams to triage findings, prioritize remediation efforts, and reduce our overall risk profile. - Champion Secure Development: Act as a security subject matter expert for our product engineering teams. You will conduct security architecture reviews, perform threat modeling for new features, and promote secure coding best practices across our Python-based services. - Coordinate Security Assessments: Manage and support internal and external penetration testing engagements, track findings, and drive remediation efforts with the relevant teams. - Develop Security Standards: Help define and document foundational security requirements for source code management, secrets management, and our CI/CD processes to ensure they are secure by design. - Support Compliance Initiatives: Partner with our GRC function to implement necessary application security controls and gather evidence to support our SOC 2 and PCI compliance audits. Qualifications - Proven experience as an Application Security Engineer, Product Security Engineer, or in a similar role. - Hands-on experience building, securing, and operating CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitHub Actions. - Strong proficiency with security scanning tools (e.g., SAST, DAST, SCA, secret scanning). - Proficiency in a scripting or programming language, with a strong preference for Python to align with our primary tech stack. - Deep understanding of web application vulnerabilities, secure architecture principles, and the OWASP Top 10. - Experience working with cloud-native technologies and environments (GCP, Kubernetes/GKE, Docker). - Experience in a regulated industry (Fintech, Healthcare, etc.) and familiarity with compliance frameworks like SOC 2 and PCI DSS. - Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform and related security scanners (e.g., Checkov). - Familiarity with vulnerability management platforms like DefectDojo. Role Description Defines the technical foundation for automation and integration opportunities across BW Packaging. Translates customer requirements into clear, executable system concepts and layouts that enable accurate estimates, confident proposals, and reliable execution. - Partners cross functionally to shape front-end technical definition. - Drives clarity, feasibility, and alignment to define well-scoped, executable automation and integration solutions. Key Responsibilities - Applications & Concept Development - Translate customer specifications and operating requirements into integrated packaging and automation concepts. - Define system concepts, layouts, and solution definitions aligned with BW Packaging standards and delivery capabilities. - Evaluate application fit, system interfaces, and integration considerations across packaging, conveyance, controls, and OEM components. - Lead technical discussions with internal teams and customers to define scope, assumptions, constraints, and tradeoffs. - Layouts & Technical Definition - Create and maintain layout drawings reflecting proposed system configurations and facility constraints. - Integrate internally developed and partner-supplied equipment into cohesive, end-to-end system layouts. - Ensure layouts and technical documentation accurately represent proposed scope, operating intent, and integration boundaries. - Estimating & Proposal Enablement - Develop and validate controls-related estimating inputs, including engineering hours, assembly effort, and material requirements, aligned to the defined technical solution and integration scope. - Establish clear technical scope, assumptions, and integration requirements that enable accurate estimates and proposals. - Partner with Global Supply Chain to ensure accurate definition and alignment of controls component pricing inputs based on approved technical scope. - Collaborate with Controls & Operations to validate technical assumptions and integration complexity. - Drive technical clarity within proposal content through precise descriptions, scope definition, and supporting documentation. - Ensure opportunity and technical scope data remain accurate within approved commercial systems. - Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with Sales and Business Development to shape opportunities and guide customer technical discussions. - Coordinate with internal teams and electrical contractors as needed to support controls-related demo and installation estimating assumptions. - Define technical intent and scope during project handoff to Operations to enable execution readiness. - Participate in internal reviews, customer design discussions, and project kickoffs as required. - Process Discipline & Continuous Improvement - Apply standard workflows, documentation practices, and application definition methodologies. - Identify and implement improvements to tools, templates, and data quality within Application Engineering. - Advance disciplined and scalable front-end execution practices across automation and integration projects. • Acts as the lead technical liaison working with the global workflow solutions team to identify new opportunities, conduct demonstrations and facilitate training exercises with the goal of growing sales within the US Region. • Provides technical consultation on welding applications, automated and semiautomated equipment, and how they fit in the fabrication processes. • Conducts on-site evaluations, product demonstrations and trials to support customer needs. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are tailored to customer applications. • Develop technical presentations and proposals to support the sales team in delivering quotes that meet customer needs. • Assists in onboarding new clients and supporting them through the implementation phase. • Shares technical knowledge freely within team and helps to raise the technical aptitude in the region. • Maintains accurate records in CRM and prepares regular customer site visit reports. • Represents the company at trade shows, industry events, and training sessions as needed. • Assists with the responses to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs. • Supports the quoting process for customer acquisition. • Participates in projects and initiatives as needed.

• Lead technical definition and implementation of IEC 61850-based architectures, including data modeling, communication services, and system integration concepts. • Work with Program & Product Management teams to create high-level specifications. • Develop and support real-time controller solutions utilizing design specifications, model-based design which facilitates code generation. • Analyse user specifications / requirements to recommend appropriate solutions. • Analyse industry standards and market trends to build requirements to propose new developments in GE Vernova products. • Work with Customer Support to resolve product, process, and customer issues related to communication protocols. • Assist in preparing training material and deliver training courses, where required. • Provide technical guidance, direction, and training to a new and/or experienced engineers, specialists, technicians, and co-ops when required.
