Role Description The Senior Process Engineer is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and cost-effective process engineering solutions across water and wastewater treatment projects. The role involves: - Process design, tender support, commissioning assistance, technical problem-solving, and plant optimisation. - Collaborating with project teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure high-quality and commercially successful project outcomes. Key responsibilities include: - Delivering process engineering design for water and wastewater treatment projects, tenders, and operational support activities. - Developing treatment process solutions based on client requirements, technical constraints, and project objectives. - Preparing process engineering deliverables including P&IDs, calculations, process flow diagrams, and technical documentation. - Supporting projects from concept development through delivery, commissioning, optimisation, and fault finding. - Reviewing tender specifications, identifying risks or non-compliances, and supporting performance guarantee assessments. - Collaborating with project teams, clients, suppliers, and consulting engineers to achieve efficient and commercially sound outcomes. - Contributing to continuous improvement, HAZOP activities, mentoring, and broader engineering and quality initiatives. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline. - Minimum 5 years of experience in the water, wastewater, process, or mechanical design sector. - Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, hydraulic calculations, P&IDs, and process flow development. - Proven experience supporting process engineering across project delivery, tenders, and commissioning environments. - Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify technical risks, opportunities, and practical design solutions. - Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering and construction project teams.
