• Overall responsibility for the association's financial structure, including planning, management and control of all financial resources • Establishing and further developing a robust financial architecture to support sustainable growth • Responsibility for budget planning, liquidity management and the use of funds within the framework of the organization's non-profit/charitable status • Developing and implementing strategies to recruit supporting members and financial backers • Active involvement in fundraising through direct outreach, structuring proposals and supporting the finalization of commitments • Building and maintaining relationships with donors, partners and institutional funders • Ensuring transparent financial processes and proper accounting in accordance with tax requirements • Close collaboration with the executive leadership to manage overall financial control and to prioritize initiatives
Job Requirements
- Experience in financial management, controlling or comparable commercial/financial roles
- Understanding of financial structures in non-profit organizations or a strong willingness to become familiar with them
- Ability to connect financial strategies with operational implementation
- Experience or demonstrable strength in fundraising, partnership development or business development
- Structured, self-directed working style and a high level of reliability
- Confident handling of numbers, planning models and financial/economic contexts

Role Description The Senior Underwriter provides mortality and financial risk assessment of individual insurance for life, critical illness, and disability product lines. The position works closely with captive advisors and brokers, assesses medical and non-medical information, providing support and issue resolution. The role also provides guidance to less experienced underwriters or other new business staff and participates in product, policy, and process improvements. How you will create impact: - Utilizing individual insurance product knowledge and procedures/guidelines to assess complex applications and policy changes with various medical and non-medical risks. - Understanding and determining reinsurance impact on mortality risk, determining the need to refer the case to a higher authority (Senior Underwriting consultants, Team Leads, Medical Director, and Manager). - Use judgement to make high-level decisions in accordance with our Company’s guidelines, procedures, and time standards in a cost-effective manner. - Compiling an electronic summary of underwriting requirements for each client for each product line on the Phoenix system, which feeds information to the Life Pages displaying requirements for Advisors. - Working with Distribution Management staff on complex cases and on training issues related to the field. - Supporting advisors in their pursuit of compensation goals, club validation, etc., by ensuring that their business is processed accurately and promptly during sales contest and cut-off periods. - Identifying needs to deviate from procedure(s) or to explore alternate means of obtaining information needed to underwrite and provide recommendation for referral to Chief Underwriter.
