Role Description The Infrastructure Solutions Architect is responsible for designing and delivering enterprise infrastructure solutions that align with long-term technology strategy and modernization initiatives. This role partners closely with enterprise architecture, IT leadership, and business stakeholders to ensure infrastructure solutions are scalable, secure, and resilient. The position emphasizes governance, cross-functional collaboration, and alignment to enterprise standards while supporting both current operations and future growth. Key Responsibilities - Infrastructure Architecture & Design - Design and develop infrastructure solution architectures aligned with enterprise technology strategy. - Create solution diagrams, technical definitions, standards documentation, and architectural artifacts. - Ensure solutions meet requirements for scalability, security, high availability, and operational resiliency. - Enterprise Infrastructure & Cloud Strategy - Architect solutions across VMware, networking, public cloud, and private cloud environments. - Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies that improve scalability, efficiency, and performance. - Support long-term infrastructure modernization initiatives and roadmap development. - Architecture Governance & Standards - Review and validate solution designs with enterprise architecture, IT leadership, business stakeholders, and architecture review boards. - Ensure compliance with security standards, regulatory requirements, and enterprise architecture principles. - Apply governance frameworks and architectural standards consistently across initiatives. - Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with business leaders to understand technology requirements, strategies, and operational priorities. - Collaborate with architects and engineering teams during solution ideation, design, and implementation. - Work with vendors and strategic partners to support enterprise infrastructure initiatives. - Research, Optimization & Continuous Improvement - Research industry trends and emerging technologies to inform architecture decisions. - Identify opportunities to reduce infrastructure costs and improve operational efficiency. - Contribute to enterprise architecture processes, governance models, and technology roadmaps. Qualifications - 7 or more years of experience in infrastructure architecture, enterprise infrastructure engineering, or solution architecture. - Strong experience with VMware environments. - Strong experience with networking infrastructure and architecture. - Experience working with public and private cloud platforms. - Experience creating infrastructure architecture diagrams, roadmaps, and technical documentation. - Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, security, and operational resiliency. - Familiarity with governance frameworks and architecture standards. - Proven ability to collaborate with business leaders, technical teams, and executive stakeholders. - Strong communication and presentation skills. Preferred Qualifications - Experience working in financial services or regulated industries. - Experience supporting enterprise modernization initiatives. - Experience participating in architecture governance or review boards. - Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles. - Understanding of compliance and regulatory environments.
