• Data Products: Design and implement scalable data models (Silver/Gold layers), treating datasets as internal products with a strong focus on usability • Engineering: Develop robust pipelines using software engineering best practices (versioning, modularization, and CI/CD). • Governance: Establish and monitor quality standards, lineage, and data cataloging, acting as the guardian of the "single source of truth". • Democratization: Advance the Self-Service Analytics ecosystem by creating semantic layers that reduce business teams' technical dependencies. • Discovery: Operate at the intersection of Data Engineering and Business, translating complex questions into solid, viable data architectures. • Evangelization: Promote a data-driven culture and data literacy, empowering colleagues to use information efficiently and apply good analytical practices.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Established experience in data modeling and engineering for analytical consumption.
  • Experience with Self-Service BI projects, data integration, and Data Mesh.
  • Proven experience collaborating with data teams and business stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data transformation tools (dbt, PySpark, Delta Lake).
  • Visualization tools: Power BI and Metabase.
  • Experience with Databricks or similar platforms.
  • Strong delivery orientation and attention to detail.
  • Clear communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaboration and active listening to understand and translate business requirements.
  • Autonomy and proactivity to propose improvements and solutions.

Snowflake preferred. - 3+ years of experience operating live production systems using dbt and Python. dbt Developer certification is a plus. - 3+ years of BI Tool experience: at least one analytics platform such as Omni, Looker, or Tableau. Omni preferred. - 1+ years of experience curating semantic data models to enable conversational BI. - Expertise in modern data visualization techniques: Ability to apply best practices to clearly and insightfully communicate data to drive decisions. - Empathy and effective communication skills: Ability to explain complex analytical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Strong interpretive skills: Ability to deconstruct complex source data to compose curated models that can be explored by stakeholders. - Product mindset: Ability to build data systems that will be used to generate insights for years to come, not just one-off analyses.
