Role Description Your mission as WordPress Web Developer, should you choose to accept it, is to help us build and maintain the most impactful, user-friendly, and well-built websites for the clients we serve. How You’ll Spend Your Time: - Using detailed Figma mockups and UI systems, you’ll custom-code full websites and new functionality for existing websites. - Work closely with the Director of Web Development to maintain coding standards and deliver websites that are simple, clean, and easy-to-maintain/easy-to-use. - Populate and manage the content of websites including images, videos, copy, metadata, and custom post types. - Ensure the technical functionality and health of all hosted websites and conduct periodic QA processes. What you will get to do day-to-day (key responsibilities): - Develop new websites using custom WordPress themes with simple file structures. - Use Figma for reference and assets. - Troubleshoot issues with existing websites. - Develop new features for existing websites. - Utilize Figma and Photoshop to ensure all imagery is web-ready. - Utilize Figma and Adobe Illustrator to adjust graphics as needed for web. - Copy-paste and reformat copy into websites. - Maintain GitHub code repositories for 50+ websites with multiple team members. - Monitor and resolve issues with hosted websites utilizing services such as WPEngine and WP Remote. - Properly use development/production environments with multiple active branches. - Adhere to all company coding standards and best practices.
