Business Development Manager

• Drive Halcyon's new business pipeline growth. • Identify, hire, and mentor top talent to develop their foundational sales skills while giving opportunities to elevate their careers into advanced roles at Halcyon. • Motivate and empower the team to be successful in a distributed work environment. • Regularly report on key metrics and KPIs in executive level reporting. • Standardize best practices regarding inbound prospect qualification, outbound prospecting, and sales hand-over. • Establish and optimize standards for lead routing, scoring, response time, cadence, and messaging quality. • Make people, process, and technology improvements that will lead to better utilization, efficiency and productivity of the sales process. • Work with sales and marketing to define and refine process and strategy to improve the effectiveness of the function. • Work closely with Field Marketing and Marketing on campaign strategy follow up. • Develop strategic Go-To-Market initiatives. • Working with Regional Directors and Demand Generation on territory development. • Refine and evolve a scalable, measurable and predictable process for running and growing the team. • Market Intelligence: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and ransomware threats to communicate value effectively.

Job Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in a sales development or business development role, preferably in the cybersecurity or technology industry.
  • Has had prior team leadership experience (1+ years) leading highly functional SDR/BDR teams in the past.
  • Familiarity with both outbound and inbound business development tactics, and KPI’s.
  • Demonstrative executive presence and ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven success aligning key stakeholders such as Marketing, Sales, Operations, and BD.
  • Self-starter with ability to function independently and in a timely manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape, especially ransomware threats, is a plus.
  • Experience with CRM and Sales systems (Salesforce, Salesloft/Outreach, Nooks, Navigator, ZoomInfo, Gong, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding team sales targets and KPIs.
