About Us: Grow Therapy is on a mission to serve as the trusted partner for therapists growing their practice, and patients accessing high-quality care. Powered by technology, we are a three-sided marketplace that empowers providers, augments insurance payors, and serves patients. Following the mass increase in depression and anxiety, the need for accessibility is more important than ever. To make our vision for mental healthcare a reality, we’re building a team of entrepreneurs and mission-driven go-getters. Since launching in February 2021, we’ve empowered more than ten thousand therapists and hundreds of thousands of clients across the country and insurance landscape. We’ve raised more than $178mm of funding from Sequoia Capital, Transformation Capital, TCV, SignalFire, and others. The Opportunity: We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer II to play a key role in improving the reliability, scalability, and personalization of Grow’s marketplace experience. This engineer will help shape the technical vision of the Marketplace Experience team while taking end-to-end ownership of how clients are matched with providers across our platform. You’ll join a high-impact team responsible for some of Grow’s most business-critical systems. By owning marketplace systems end to end and helping shape technical direction, this engineer ensures that improvements to matching, personalization, and discovery are built on a foundation that is scalable, observable, and resilient. Their work directly impacts client outcomes, provider success, and Grow’s ability to grow efficiently so we can continue on our goal of expanding access to high-quality mental healthcare for millions of Americans. What You’ll Be Doing: Own core marketplace systems end to end, including backend services, data inputs, and experimentation infrastructure Improve the reliability, performance, and observability of the marketplace surface area Build and evolve personalized marketplace experiences, including matching, search, and recommendation capabilities Partner closely with Product and Data Science to translate marketplace goals into technical designs and execution plans Diagnose and resolve data quality, performance, and correctness issues across systems Enable safe, repeatable experimentation through robust A/B testing and analysis workflows Use data deeply to instrument marketplace systems, measure impact, and continuously optimize marketplace performance and provider-client matching success You’ll Be a Good Fit If: 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with meaningful ownership of production systems Strong backend engineering experience (Python preferred), including service design and data modeling Experience building or operating systems where reliability, data quality, and performance are critical Highly data-driven mindset, comfortable with experimentation, measurement, and optimization both from a product and technical perspective Proven ability to operate in ambiguous problem spaces and bring structure and clarity Product-minded approach with an understanding of how technical decisions impact user experience and business outcomes Ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, including Product and Data Science A bias toward ownership, speed, learning, and continuous improvement Role Details: Employment Type: Full Time, Exempt (or Non-Exempt) Base Compensation: The base compensation range for this position is $200,000–$250,000 USD Annually.
