Role Description We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure & Tools to join our Engineering team. This person will play a pivotal role in improving engineering velocity, deployment reliability, developer experience, and security automation across the software development lifecycle. This engineer will redesign CI/CD systems, modernize internal developer tooling, and introduce AI-assisted automation that enables Osano engineers to build, test, and ship software faster with greater confidence. The role will work closely with Engineering, SRE, Product, and Security stakeholders to eliminate operational bottlenecks and build scalable systems that improve the effectiveness of the broader engineering organization. Role Description GovCIO is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep expertise in enterprise infrastructure engineering, optimization, automation, and Service Integration and Management (SIAM) to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Information Technology (OIT). In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior OIT partners, architects, program leadership, operations teams, business stakeholders, and service providers to assess, optimize, and modernize VA’s hybrid infrastructure environment. This role will provide hands-on technical leadership across infrastructure optimization, KPI reporting, resilience planning, automation, and SIAM framework implementation to ensure VA’s infrastructure is secure, scalable, resilient, efficient, and aligned with enterprise modernization objectives.
