Job Description

Principal Technical Success & Incubation Architect

Palo Alto Networks

Role Description Act as the Incident Commander for friction and the Architect of future growth. Your mandate is to protect the Engineering roadmap by filtering noise and resolving high-stakes escalations, while simultaneously partnering with the TPE team to drive early-stage technologies from 'Project' to 'Field Ready'. You ensure that when we win, we win systematically. Qualifications - 7+ years in Technical Sales Engineering, Professional Services, or Escalation Engineering. - Deep technical understanding of the Cybersecurity landscape (SIEM, XDR, SOAR, Cloud Security). - Proven ability to lead 'Red Account' situations to resolution. - Experience as a Solution Architect, Escalation Engineer, or Technical Account Manager. - Demonstrated experience bridging the gap between R&D (Product/Eng) and the Field (Sales/CS). Requirements - Serve as the primary triage point for high-stakes/Red Account technical friction, distinguishing issues for TPE Teams versus those requiring extensive intervention. - Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to ensure systemic problem resolution and prevent recurrence of issues. - Define technical success requirements for product and solution beta programs. - Work with the staff programs lead and technical product engineering team to define the technical requirements and outcomes for Cortex solutions. - Own the strategic playbook for future platform transitions, proactively identifying technical hurdles and defining the 'Golden Path' for customers. Preferred Qualifications - Deep technical expertise with the Cortex stack. - Ability to manage pressure from customer and internal stakeholders, translating that into clear technical tasks for engineering teams. - A 'closer' mindset with an understanding that a POC is complete when the deal closes, not just when the code works. Compensation Disclosure The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. $122,000.00 - $196,000.00/yr Our Commitment We’re trailblazers that dream big, take risks, and challenge cybersecurity’s status quo.
