Role Description As a Credit Assessor at Skip, you will be responsible for actioning end-to-end loan applications for new mortgages. You’ll ensure that lending decisions are executed in line with our credit policy. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with Credit Assessment experience who is keen to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with highly experienced credit professionals. You will have the ability to immediately contribute with your existing credit assessment skills while continuing to develop your knowledge and broader capabilities. We’re building a culture that rewards proactive doers, who want to contribute, be recognized, and rewarded for it. - Action end-to-end loan applications for new mortgages. - Ensure lending decisions are executed in line with the Sucasa Credit Policy. - Take ownership of applications from submission to settlement. - Undertake quality credit risk-based decisions to ensure consistent, accurate and timely outcomes. - Assist in improving internal processes for the Credit Assessment team. - Work with our engineering teams to layer in automation and tech improvements for increasing your efficiency. - Work alongside our Customer Operations team to deliver an excellent customer experience. Qualifications - A minimum of 1-2 years’ recent experience in residential mortgage loan assessment is required, with individual approval delegations held. - Strong problem-solving ability to think outside the square and analyse situations in a solution-based environment. - Capacity to learn and execute multiple lending policies and processes and run these simultaneously as required. - “Curious, Tech First” Mindset – Enjoys solving problems and is comfortable with learning new tech platforms and systems.
