Title: Staff Accountant Location: TN-Memphis Work Type: Hybrid: Full-time job Description: This is your chance to be part of a Finance Team that is a critical business partner that manages all global activities related to financial performance, accounting, tax, forecasting, risk management, and asset management. As a Staff Accountant on the RTR US Hotel Accounting team, you will report to the Manager, Hotel Accounting and focus on completing monthly closing and post-closing activities. What you'll do during a typical day: - Perform end-of-month closing and post-closing activities such as assisting with balance sheet reconciliations, wire transfers, and compiling data and supporting documentation for journal entries. - Partner with third-party service providers to ensure all vital information is captured, compiled, reviewed, and approved. Examples of third parties include but are not limited to outsourcing providers and auditors. - Attend staff meetings pertinent to work assignments. - Research and respond to information requests from internal departments and management. How you'll collaborate with others: - Collaborate with your manager to establish specific goals and plans to prioritize, coordinate and accomplish project and department goals. - Develop positive and cross-collaborative relationships with finance and corporate departments. Projects you'll take ownership of: - Assist with accounting tasks while gaining an understanding of processes to further your knowledge and move up in the organization.
