International Finance Manager

Instacart

• Serve as the key finance partner for Instacart’s International expansion, owning end-to-end financial forecasting, business planning, and performance management for new and emerging markets. • Partner closely with cross-functional leaders (e.g., Business Development, Corporate Development, Operations, Strategy, Legal, Policy) to evaluate market entry opportunities, assess investment trade-offs, and provide clear recommendations that shape Instacart’s global growth strategy. • Build and refine complex financial models to support scenario planning in a highly ambiguous environment, enabling the executive team to make fast, data-driven decisions. • Develop actionable insights by analyzing market dynamics, unit economics, and operational performance across countries; highlight risks, surface opportunities, and drive accountability with senior stakeholders. • Own the monthly and quarterly actuals vs. forecast (AvF) process for International, including variance analysis, commentary, and presentation of results to senior leadership; translate financial performance into clear business narratives that connect drivers to outcomes and inform future forecast adjustments. • Thrive in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment, establishing structure where needed while adapting processes, forecasts, and recommendations as the International landscape rapidly changes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in Strategic/Corporate Finance, FP&A, or another analytical field, supporting high-growth public technology companies.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data-driven decision support.
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Clear, polished communication skills with experience preparing and presenting executive-ready materials to VP/C-suite stakeholders.
  • Ability to build trusted partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment and navigate ambiguity with confidence.
