Quality Assurance Engineer, Platform

Scribe

• As a Senior QA Engineer at Scribe, you will take ownership of quality across our desktop and browser extension platforms. • Partner closely with engineering, product, and design to define and execute testing strategies that scale with our growth. • Shape processes, introduce automation, and bring structure to how we validate across multiple platforms and release channels. • Collaborate with a distributed team based in Serbia.

Job Requirements

  • You bring deep QA experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments where speed and quality must coexist
  • You have hands-on experience testing desktop applications (Mac and Windows) and/or browser extensions (Chrome, Edge)
  • You’re comfortable owning QA strategy end-to-end, from test planning to execution and release validation
  • You think systematically about quality and can introduce scalable processes and automation
  • You have strong technical judgment and can collaborate effectively with engineers on complex systems
  • You’ve demonstrated leadership—whether through mentoring, driving initiatives, or managing teams

Role Description Mind Computing is seeking a full-time, 100% remote Functional Tester to support a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) project. The ideal candidate will have experience in software testing and quality assurance, with responsibilities including: - Developing test plans and test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications. - Executing manual and automated tests to identify defects and ensure the software meets quality standards. - Reporting bugs and issues to the development team, providing detailed information and steps to reproduce the problem. - Conducting regression testing to ensure new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionalities. - Documenting test cases, test results, and defects to support development and maintenance. - Working closely with developers, QA analysts, and other team members to ensure seamless integration and testing. - Conducting performance testing to ensure the software meets performance criteria and benchmarks. - Staying updated with the latest testing tools and techniques and implementing improvements in the testing process. - Participating in and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate end-to-end business workflows. - Contributing to team objectives and taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
