About this role Description/Job Purpose BlackRock has an opportunity for a qualified candidate to join the firm as a Principal-level professional in the Global Infrastructure Solutions (‘GIS’) business, based in Hong Kong. As part of the GIS Capital Formation & Solutions team, the candidate will lead capital formation, investor servicing, and strategic investor projects for the Asia Pacific region. With a track record of over 240 investments executed since 2008 and close to $20B in AUM, GIS has one of the most experienced infrastructure multi-manager teams in the industry. Key Responsibilities - Capital Formation: Contribute to AUM growth of business by leading project management for capital formation, client due diligence, and product development for the Asia Pacific region, including coordinating closely with investment teams, sales channels, legal, operations, and other teams. - Investor Solutions: Support fundraising efforts of the global team with a focus on the Asia Pacific region across client channels in close partnership with sales and relationship management teams for commingled funds and customized separately managed accounts. Support creation of customized separate account solutions including investment strategy, governance and engagement model, pricing negotiations, etc. - Client Engagement & Servicing: Prepare and present client investment pipeline and portfolio reviews including quantitative and qualitative portfolio analyses in partnership with investment and portfolio management teams. Develop varied analysis (industry / client-related) and answer ongoing queries from clients and distribution colleagues in a timely manner. Role Description The Solutions Architect (SA) is a subject matter expert (SME) and technology thought leader who contributes their deep knowledge of process and technology to the core team for Rollouts & Named Accounts engagement. The SA provides direction and advice through the project life cycle from sales concept to design development, construction drawings to implementation support. As the technical thought leader on a project team, the SA is instrumental in the determination and execution of client and system requirements and will collaborate with SMEs and project teams as required. The SA is also responsible for mentoring other members of the design engineering staff. Reporting Director – Rollouts & Named Accounts, the SA’s project assignments are determined by Engineering Leadership based on enterprise-wide demands. What You’ll Do - Contributes to complex engagements and works directly with clients and project teams to develop basis of design, budgets, timelines, and manage expectations. - Conceptualize system designs and determine system requirements. - Provide technical expertise and coordination information to support the base building tasks performed by others, and planning of audio, video, and control solutions. - Monitor development of projects the Bills of Materials (BOM) and supporting documentation. - Develop detailed design documentation strategy based on established engineering standard practices. Decision Making Authority As the technical thought leader on a project, the SA is responsible for vetting products and making detailed equipment recommendations. The SA has the authority to recommend changes in scope as well as programming and commissioning activities to enhance project success. The SA is also responsible for reviewing drawing packages produced by project teams. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that may be met by an employee. Work will normally be performed within normal office conditions and/or home office depending on location of SA. On occasions the employee may be exposed to construction site conditions. Employee will be responsible for their safety while on job sites and to comply with all safety regulations in place by the GC. Use of PPE is usually required on job sites.
