HR Generalist

• Responsible for HR administration and personnel data (e.g., contracts, personnel files, HRIS systems, time tracking) • Interface to payroll, including preparation, verification and communication of payroll runs • Monitoring and control of time tracking, ensuring compliance with working time regulations • Managing the entire employee lifecycle (onboarding, development, offboarding) • Independently conduct the full recruiting process (job postings, screening, initial interviews) • Ensure employment law compliance (including IT collective agreement/IT-KV, working time regulations, agreements, etc.) • Maintain and improve HR processes and policies (e.g., onboarding, performance management) • Implement HR projects (e.g., employee surveys, employer branding, compensation topics) • Serve as point of contact for employees and managers on employment law and organizational matters • Prepare, analyze and improve HR reporting and key metrics

Job Requirements

  • Several years of experience in an HR generalist role
  • Solid knowledge of Austrian employment law and ideally the IT collective agreement (IT-KV)
  • Experience in recruiting, payroll processes and HR systems
  • Structured, independent working style with a strong commitment to quality
  • Strong communication skills and a hands-on mentality
  • Business-fluent German and good command of English

Adjunct faculty have part-time teaching roles. Courses are offered on a term-by-term basis. Adjunct faculty can teach up to 3 courses per term, not to exceed 10 courses per year. What to expect in this role: - Provides a student-centered learning environment which enables students to attain success. - Teaches synchronous or asynchronous seminars (10 week units) as assigned by the School or program. - Maintains school-determined virtual office hours per week for each class. - Ensures timely management and response to electronic correspondence from students, administrators, and other University officials. - Leads message board discussion and engages students in relevant discussions and coursework. - Partners with Academic Advisors to address student concerns. Refer students who self-identify with a potential need for an accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to Student Accessibility Services (SAS), and comply with all student accommodations communicated by SAS in writing. - Maintains and submits accurate and timely reports for student grades/progress. - Delivers mid-term and final grades in accordance with the academic calendar. - Enforces student conduct policies as outlined in the University Catalog. - Attends University, departmental, and faculty meetings as requested. - Remains current with trends, techniques, and advances in technology that are applicable to the program. - This position requires a one-hour synchronous seminar for each course assignment, with sessions held at fixed times between 7:00 and 10:00 p.m. ET. - Additional duties as assigned by the School. Experience: - Master's degree in aviation from a regionally accredited institution or related field. - Verified experience in professional flight and/or aviation management required. - 1 year of online, higher education teaching experience preferred. What we're looking for: - Exceptional computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite, Google applications and Zoom meeting technology. Experience with Brightspace education software is preferred. - Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills, and with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. - Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with minimal supervision. - Capable of building strong working relationships across teams, departments and Schools. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times. Additional Information: - Purdue University Global will not sponsor employment authorization for this position. - School of Aviation only: Adjunct compensation varies per course based on student enrollment, program type and also includes a contribution to a retirement account. A typical adjunct in the School of Aviation can expect to receive $3100 per full 10-week course. Due to the nature of the program, courses are typically in the low-enrollment category. Role Description The Accommodation Consultant (AC) will work directly with employees and senior leadership in providing accommodations. The AC will be the primary contact for the employee as they proceed through the accommodation/workplace adjustments process.
