Field Engineer 3
Leidos
• Represent the PO at RSR sites, executing to an aggressive multi-site schedule. • Serve as an RSR subject matter expert (SME) to the RSR program office project, implementation, and engineering leads. • Participate in final planning and site preparation, including development of site implementation plans and site visits as required. • Provide onsite installation/construction consultation supporting implementation and disposition activities, including advising contractors on requirements based on design drawings and the statement of work (SOW).
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with 4-8 years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree with 2-6 years of relevant experience, or additional years of relevant experience may be considered/accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with research, design, and development of electrical equipment and systems.
- Completion of formal Radar training at the FAA Academy.
- Prior Radar certification authority at one or more airports.
- Several years of hands-on field experience on one or more Radar systems in the active NAS.
- Comprehensive understanding of FAA operational risk management practices.
- Ability to perform at a high level independently and as part of a small team, while meeting an aggressive installation schedule.
- Demonstrated commitment to high-quality maintenance practices during RSR implementation.
- Professionalism representing Leidos to FAA customers, consistent with delivering “best of the best” support.
- Demonstrated knowledge of FAA construction/installation requirements at RSR sites.
