• Perform all traditional account management responsibilities for all accounts in specified territory; Maintain full communication with key distribution, end users, OEM’s, electrical contractors, representatives, and plant employees to establish and build long term relationships for business continuity. • Handle the Canadian sales effort to increase sales growth through the sales agents’ representatives and distribution channel and develop demand for our Appleton products at major end users, electrical contractors, and OEM accounts; Establish product specifications and sales at major accounts for major projects, retrofits, MRO, and temporary power business. • Target small, mid-size and large engineering firms to support the Appleton sales strategy in establishing Appleton product specifications, as well, focus on International Accounts in the specified territory to drive demand for our products for export which require Global Certifications. • Implement sales and marketing programs as advised by head office; Build and implement strategic business plans to acquire the opportunities available and develop forecasts of existing and new products. • Harness and optimally utilize vital customer service support and management resources to ensure success and monitor pricing for accuracy and consistency, working within the established responsibility structure of Emerson Canada about pricing and new distributor appointments. • Serve as full technical field representative, direct field handling of claims and adjustments within prescribed policy and consultation as necessary. • Implement product training for existing sales reps/engineering firms/distributors, OEM’S, electrical contractors, and end users.

Job Requirements

  • Post-Secondary Technical Graduate from the Electrical Field, sales related proven experience.
  • 2+ years of proven understanding of selling through electrical distribution and product line specifications and applications and IEC products/specifications and Global Certifications.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% monthly as needed throughout the territory and to head office, including frequent overnight travel, extended overnight stays on a regular basis, and must attend quarterly sales meetings.
  • Excellent communication skills to communicate clearly and optimally with others.
  • Strong collaboration skills and able to work independently
  • Excellent people skills to interact with sales and cross-functional teams and customers
  • Ability to handle diverse customer and employee personalities in a professional manner
  • Excellent organizational skills are required to plan, and coordinate own work, meet targets, prioritize to support sales efforts, and shift resources to meet Company objectives.
