Senior Field Service Technician

• Perform duties to install and provide on-demand/scheduled service and training for all general-purpose equipment • Perform daily task in accordance with all Safety regulations and protocols • Ability to timely, accurately, and effectively document daily service activities and expenses • Identifying complex problems relating to customer and/or machines • Read and interpret complex blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematics as required • Technical support and training to Signode Technicians • Monitor and manage their schedule service calls for accuracy and completion • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment breakdowns • Make adjustments and test for proper operation on designated equipment • Under supervision, coordinate proactive pre-installation meetings with customers • Proactively report and follow up on potential unsafe conditions • Maintain effective customer relationships • Communicate essential information on a timely basis • Intermediate PLC knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment programmable logic controllers • Identify upgrade and retrofit opportunities • Design and conduct training programs for repair and/or preventative maintenance • Prepare comprehensive, non-conformance reports and service bulletins
Job Requirements
- High School Degree
- 4-5 years of transferable experience
- Experience working on Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatics, and Hydraulics systems
- Able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- PLC background
- Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
- Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision
- Desirable: Professional course (electrical or mechanical or automation courses)

• Support the technical needs of Philips Imaging customers and customer service partners • Work individually and as part of a wider team to install, maintain and repair imaging equipment • Provide field based and remote technical support to customers and colleagues • Carry out corrective, preventative, installation and field change order activities on complex healthcare systems • Diagnose mechanical, hardware and software system failures • Determine most cost effective repair/solution to minimize customer downtime • Actively participate in an ongoing rotation with the Field Service Engineer team • Report directly to the District Service Delivery Manager for the North East
• Working collaboratively with the wider organization to provide exceptional service to our customers. • Services include corrective & preventative maintenance, commissioning & installation of equipment and software & hardware upgrades. • Actively participating in the sales process and providing expert technical support throughout the entire life cycle of our customer relationships (from pre-sales through to implementation and post-sales support). • Taking a lead in managing and supporting technical escalations through to resolution ensuring all stakeholders are continually updated on progress according to the company process. • Providing best-in-class service to our customers with technical support, maintenance, and repairs on equipment by determining the most cost-effective repair/solution to minimize customer downtime. • Maintaining a high level of knowledge through continual training and development and keeping up to date of new technologies relevant to your area of focus and take on new technology.
• Responsible for customer relationship management through technical knowledge • Install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain equipment at customer sites across Southeast and nationally • Deliver exceptional customer service by setting clear expectations • Build strong customer relationships contributing to service revenue growth • Collaborate with regional team to improve processes and share best practices • Expand capabilities by learning new tools across multiple modalities • Complete all required administrative and compliance tasks • Diagnose and resolve system issues using established tools • Perform preventative maintenance, field changes, installations, and corrective service • Travel extensively (approximately 90%) including overnight stays and air travel nationwide
