Role Description The Designer III is an entry-level role focused on supporting modeling strategy, strengthening discipline execution, and owning coordination and documentation quality across projects within a defined discipline focus. - Apply TEECOM’s workflows, tools, and BIM standards with a high level of independence. - Contribute to project delivery through advanced modeling, drawing development, coordination leadership, documentation, and early engineering support within your primary discipline (Telecom/ICT, Audiovisual, Security, Acoustics, Network, Wi-Fi, etc). - Support fast-paced coordination cycles, identify risks early, and help teams maintain clarity and alignment across models, markups, and deliverables. - Contribute to TEECOM’s documentation system by refining workflows, improving modeling standards, and supporting updates in GitHub based on lessons learned from project experience. Qualifications - BS in Engineering (Electrical preferred), Architecture, or a related field; or equivalent technical or field experience. - 4+ years of experience in the AEC industry with strong proficiency in Revit, coordinated modeling, and construction documentation across multiple projects. - Experience delivering technology system designs (Telecom/ICT, Audiovisual, Security, Acoustics, Network, Wi-Fi, and other technology disciplines). - Strong organizational and communication skills. - Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit; familiarity with Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Studio, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Asana, and GitHub. Requirements - Ability to maintain model health at a senior production level. - Ability to manage and maintain coordinated models, produce accurate drawings with minimal oversight, and resolve production issues independently. - Solid technical understanding of technology systems and engineering principles. - Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit. Noblis MSD is seeking an on-call CAD Designer with a background in submarine communication systems to support special projects as needed. - Utilizing specialized software to create detailed technical drawings, models, and designs for various engineering and manufacturing projects within organizations. - Creating 2D and 3D models of components, assemblies, and systems, incorporating geometric and dimensional constraints to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability. - Generating detailed technical drawings and documentation for manufacturing and assembly processes. - Collaborating with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to review and refine design concepts, address design challenges, and incorporate feedback into design iterations. - Building and maintaining effective relationships for customer service and project support; demonstrating initiative and proactively identifying and communicating needs. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 5 years of experience OR associate’s degree and 8 years OR a high school diploma/GED and a minimum of 11 years of experience in lieu of degree. - Minimum of 3+ years of experience in CAD & 3D design for submarine systems. - The ability to generate drawings for engineers and make suggestions for further development. - Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks. - US Citizen with an active Top Secret clearance. - Experience using model-based design tools and concepts.
