Job Description

Senior DevOps Engineer

CPLUG - Central PA Linux User Group

• Own and operate CareerPlug's AWS infrastructure, keeping production systems healthy, secure, right-sized, and cost-effective • Manage and improve CI/CD pipelines (CircleCI, GitHub Actions) to ensure fast, reliable builds and deploys for product engineers • Contribute to the infrastructure that supports AI-augmented development • Own local development environments and staging environments, ensuring engineers can set up and trust their environments for daily work • Monitor alerting and observability infrastructure; respond to on-call incidents and conduct post-incident reviews • Write clean, well-documented infrastructure-as-code, pipeline configurations, and automation scripts • Proactively communicate infrastructure changes, system health, and risks clearly to engineering leadership

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or infrastructure role
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS
  • Experience owning a production AWS environment
  • Experience owning CI/CD pipeline management
  • Proficiency with AWS (EC2, RDS/PostgreSQL, Redis, OpenSearch), Docker, CircleCI, GitHub Actions, Ruby on Rails, AI Coding Tools
